most of the time, arena runs really amaze me. I chose Mage as a starter and Mage were renowned as a spell based hero. And know what, I only have 7-8 spell ONLY.
I think the arena need some fixes though. Its too random and I don't enjoy when I paid for an arena runs. There must be a balance issues to be made. FYI, This is only a rant. Don't bash me. Please have mercy. |

QUOTE(mengdez @ Jan 20 2014, 04:55 PM) yeap that one too. once, i met opponent that had 2 legendary(leeroy & hogger) and few epic minion (2 molten giant). Dude, that is ridiculous. Arena need to be revoked. There must a set of runs that enabled to limit one legendary or maybe no legendary with 3 epic card. Or tons of rare cards. Sometimes, it is too hot to handle. |

QUOTE(verx @ Jan 20 2014, 05:50 PM) I'm no Arena expert but 7-8 spells for Mage Arena run seems quite adequate to me...unless they are all Arcane Missiles i can assured you I only had 3 damage spell-based cards. One fireball, one flamestrike, one ice lance. For me the randomness is what makes Arena fun. And there is some skill involved when drafting the cards. It is fun, I couldn't agree more. But sometimes when you see others deck, got legendary and few epic whilst you no legendary and no epic. It not fun anymore because it is too imbalanced IMO. There are skill of course but luck decides too. We can craft the decks according to the hero specialties but Mage with minion based attack instead of spell based which is the core of a Mage. Well, IDK. It happened few times. Just saying the Arena need to be revoke for balanced play. |

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Jan 20 2014, 06:59 PM) look at the rogue; mages still relatively had it easier as fireblast is a lot more flexible. hahaha yeap. my example is just not only mage, but the rest of the character too. just saying you could get all the randomness but at least it doesn't run from the core/basic mechanics of each hero has.having almost every minion being non rogue minions on rogue deck is just a hair pulling experience. |

QUOTE(huoshenfeng124 @ Jan 22 2014, 11:02 AM) i tink 90% of english players are using NA/EU versions , the exeptional ones are those have language barriers like japanese , chinese , french and etc etc server is different though. They just mention NA region to had an open beta whilst they didn't mention SEA, European, Korea and Taiwan region. Have to ask those newbie though. For what I understand from the announcements, other region open beta will open in few days time. |

QUOTE(diehard1979 @ Jan 24 2014, 05:43 PM) you can exchange 40g quest to either 60g, 100g or revert back to the same 40g quest. that how you grind easy gold :/This post has been edited by jian90: Jan 24 2014, 05:51 PM |

QUOTE(diehard1979 @ Jan 24 2014, 05:53 PM) so every quest also can do like that? or 1 day only able to x 1 quest only? (let say now I got 3 quest, I can x all and replace by 3 new quest again?) every quest can do like that yes. you can 'x' all of them and they will replace you a new one. but this new patch could be something wrong though. you might wanna hold on 1st. and now it seems I don't have any of 'x' on the top of the quest. |

QUOTE(Tamamama @ Jan 24 2014, 08:42 PM) hmm, i think i have that, but it's not clickable, and it looks the same as the other 3 "x" on the other corners.. nope. one quest is good too. It depends on luck. Sometimes you get back 40g quest and sometimes it gives better 60g or 100g quest. is it better to collect quest until you have 2-3? so you get more gold for subsequent ones? I just rarely play this 2-3 days. Thats why it stacked. Bought new games so kinda occupied After lurks awhile in the official forum. Source We have identified two known issues with this most recent content update that we wanted to make sure everyone was aware of: There is an issue that may sometimes prevent a player from receiving quests, cancelling a quest, or when cancelling a quest, not replacing the cancelled quest with a replacement. The ability to cancel quests has been temporarily disabled while we continue to investigate this issue. In some cases, playing a game may also cause missing quests to return. Wait for the next patch. For now, hold your horses. This post has been edited by jian90: Jan 24 2014, 08:53 PM |

QUOTE(Tij @ Jan 25 2014, 02:37 AM) Finally can try my hand on the game as the open beta is out! All I can say is this is a pretty fun game especially Arena runs. pay 2 win? nope it doesn't. It just mostly depends on your lucks. How well constructed decks is if your opponent have the best hand, you still lose. But I sometimes got a little frustrated when playing constructed because ranked = pay 2 win. And it feels awesome when you beat someone with golden and legendary decks with your basic and commons. Oh wells shall stick to casual and quests for the gold grinding (the 100g) and 150g for Arena runs cause it's the best part of this game. |

QUOTE(BlizzardCraft @ Jan 25 2014, 04:05 AM) if you go and watch some of the official tourney or semi-competitive competition, top draws hero aren't shaman. very rare to see shaman as the top 3 hero.QUOTE(Tamamama @ Jan 25 2014, 07:37 AM) I think it is because of the lagfest, too many players. Btw, i'm using 4mb streamyx.QUOTE(mengdez @ Jan 25 2014, 08:32 AM) I know, but some of the spell and minion were too good not to be overlooked. Plus, my style of play isn't really suit shaman. And I hate bloodlust. I always forgot they always keep that card till last card. |

QUOTE(BlizzardCraft @ Jan 25 2014, 06:05 PM) but overload cards are good right? stil not sure how to play around them >< it is good. as mengdez said, you have to calculate if you want to use overload skills.what are the top 3s? u hate it as in its good? top 3 as i saw is druid, rogue and priest. (blizzcon invitational) i hate it because they are good. i prefer against weapon wielder warrior instead of overload shaman. |

QUOTE(volrath @ Jan 26 2014, 01:31 PM) @cyfong2020 gogogo dl +1 thereAnyways, to those who is starting out, do not use your free ticket to Arena just yet. Yeah, it's all fair and square, 100% card access. But in my humblest opinion, Arena play is somewhat very, very different than constructed, believe me. Also, if you're looking at your dusts, (and refused to pay for the game) OR you want to quickly improvise your deck, and confused what to craft as your first few cards, I'd recommend to begin with MUST-HAVE neutral cards as a foundation so it goes well with another decks instead of class-specifics only. Don't get too attached to the first deck you played with as this meta shifting in this game is too damn high at this stage. Remember the holy trinity in this game: 1) Silence 2) Card Draw 3) Taunt Craft cards around these to have the right synergy for your deck and of course, don't screw your mana curve. Enjoy HS, boys! |
