I would say it is pure luck, you can't count on drawing the key cards so early.

definitely counter-able, you just have to run more silence and removal.

my point is, you, as a player with tcg background ( i don't mean wowtcg in specific) or any games that requires thinking, you should find ways to counter it instead of Q.Qing over some very specific scenarios that requires very specific opening hand in order to archive the combo. FYI, the game is still in closed beta and the meta is still changing rapidly. i dont think it is fair to say a specific build is imba/op because of a single encounter. The game still has a lot of room to grow and evolve, do you think wowtcg is as good as you think (i don't play wowtcg so i don't know much about it) but my guess is it took a long way before reaching a mature state. You mentioned it yourself that wowtcg release the spells bit by bit, what make you think that Blizzard won't do similar things to bring more depth into Hearthstone?
you also failed to point out how the mechanics totally screw up. perhaps, you just wish the mechanics to be exactly the same so that you can skip the learning curve and bring over everything you learned from wowtcg to Hearthstone instead of trying to learn and adapt the mechanics that you don't quite experience/know yet ( yeah, i understand that because as a gamer most of us wish to carry over the skills we acquired from other games to a new game).


further more i (as with a lot of top tier players if you watch twitch a lot) think the game mechanics is fine and i dont really want to see an exact clone of another tcg.

Taunt can only take effects when it can be seen (revealed and no longer in stealth mode)

Also, another less known fact, Stealth minion will reveal itself when the stealth minion does damage to other minions through its ability.

P/S: dont ask me how a minion with ability gains stealth, go figure!

hmm why do you want legendary or epic? i manage to get to 7+ wins most of the time without any of these in my deck

imho, most of the cards are useful in such context, however a lot of the legendary (even for epics) are quite situational and quite tricky to use them correctly especially when come to Arena since you can't rely on drawing cards that combo well with your future picks, you must prioritize cards that are less situational, have solid stand alone value rather than gimmicky cards. if you're struggle to get more than 4 wins, you should re-consider how you value the cards.

for instance, lorewalker choo, interesting ability but wont give you much benefits and usually end up hurting yourself. The card shouldn't be an early pick, you can only pick that card if you've drafted very few spell cards at the very end of your draft. if that card showed as an early choice, DO NOT PICK IT.

A quick question, faceless manipulator, cool card right? under what conditions you should pick it over the others?

FYI, when you created new bnet account without any games attached, you're still able to opt-in Hearthstone closed beta while the others are disabled.
A few Taiwanese friends of mine got into closed beta without by using new bnet accounts.

It is obvious that Blizzard also want to carter non-Blizzard gamers with this free-to-play game.

well agreed, that is the point of a faceless right, However i was hoping that someone would answer, you will need hard removal spells (like assassinate, polymorph, or BGH) before picking Faceless.

If you can clone a minion and remove its original copy, it is basically a mind control spell that cost 2 cards

I would pick faceless if two conditions are full filled,
1. if i have enough removal
2. if the other 2 choices are worse.

yeah but you can copy your own minion as well, this make it an average standalone card and less situational.

cloning charge minions (especially argent commander) are superb

hi chcgamer, about the tourney, me and my opponent (flare) is both confused about the deck changing/cards changing, is there any rules regarding this?

i am currently at 1-0, so is any of us allowed to change deck/cards?
