hi bro,

Hankook Noble 2 S1 and Prime 2 K115...which one is better?

it seems like the K115 is more expensive, and the Noble 2 S1 stock in limited, hard to find.

My size is 235/45/R18, Honda Accord 2.4 Vtil, 9th generation.

Please advice, thanks a lot.

Hi,
Currently I'm driving forte 2.0 with 215/45/r17 Michelin PS3 which I changed in March 2015.
Due to one of the rear tyre hit on a divider, it causes some tear on the side of my right rear tyre.
Based on the tyre shop checking, they recommend to change both the rear tyre while front tyre are still good to go.

Need some suggestion from sifu here. Should I just change all 4 of them or stick to rear tyre replacement only?

Googling around and found there's PS4 which is good but the price will be high.
Appreciate for any sifu recommendation here for any suggestion on the 215/45/r17 tyre for my replacement.

I do sometimes tend to drive fast sometimes.

Thanks.

Hi Shadow,

I agreed with you, i have been using Michelin PS3 and Yokohama Advan DB V551 for many years, but lately found that the price is too expensive if compare with other less known brand. My size is 235/45/R18, the PS3 / PS4 and V551 are around RM700+.

I give up and swift to Hankook high range tires Ventus Noble2 S1 and Ventus Prime 2, the price is 30%-40% cheaper. After using them for some months, for normal days of driving including highway, i hardly notice any differences. Sometime, i really think that we are paying the higher for top brands for merely their reputation and advertising compaign.

Just my thought.

PS. I am still searching for more "comfortable and Silent" tyres which is about the same price like the Hankook above. Any bros here have any recommendation, please do share with me. Many thanks in advance.

Hello for 215/45/17 size, how much for primacy 3ST and yoko advan db??

I heard Yoko advan DB no mote in production true?? Mind to share where still selling advan db?
*
hi ADVAN,

I used the Yoko advan DB for few years, very good tyres.

Downside are
1. the price is sky high and
2. very difficult to find, in case of replacement.

Lately, i wanna get a new set, dealer quote RM770 per pc for 235/45/R18, it is just too expensive.

last Friday, changed all 4 tyres of my accord 2.4 to Continental MC5 with Aeron.

Good service, recommended.

Happy with the MC5, quiet and handling is good as well. This 2 days raining in PLUS, this tyres seems very good in wet handling.

Yes, it is in market already but not much shops carry on stock.
My friend bought 1 unit of 195/55/15 for RM260.

Wondering if they have 235/45/18.

Not much reviews for UC6 in the internet.

Appreciate if any user feedback post here.

Really want to know the user experience for this new UC6 by Continental.

That's an interesting testimony. I'll lookup GY dealers and see how much they can offer.
Thanks for the warning. I will definitely shop around.

you have to know what you actually want: high performance ? or comfort and Silent ?

i noticed most forumer will introduce good tyres = performance tyres, if you are looking for comfort and silent, you will make wrong decision by following the advice.

like me, i prefer comfort and silent over performance, so my good tyres = comfort and silent tyres.

2 different things.

my experience in tyre searching and advice, must be very precise in what is the rid quality that you are looking for.

just my fair and sincere advice.

He mentioned that the first choice was PS3 but no budget for it, so I recommended him the closest one to PS3 in terms of performance and also comfort plus noise (PS3 is generally regarded as already comfortable but not as silent), but a bit cheaper which is the F1D5.
*
If prefer performance: PS4 is a sure bet. Will not go wrong with this tyre.

If prefer comfort: 3ST should be one of the best choice, V551 also one of the best (but very hard to find in case tyre burst need replacement).

That was from Lazada same goes to Yokohama Advan Fleva 701. Later when I check with local tayar shop it is RM300 (Excl GST, With Installation). Still one of the best deal. Highest offer I got was RM360 a piece.

I end up with UC6 - RM320 (Excl. GST w/ installation).

if you think CC6 is bumpy, then you can forget about XM2 d.

last time i used Michelin primacy 3 st, it's so expensive..
now i think it does not need to buy such expensive tyre because i change the tyres 3 years once. So, any recommendation on cheap but good tyre??
*
If you were using P3ST, i assume you prefer comfort tyres (like me), i agreed with you, P3ST just too expensive, i changed tyre almost yearly, so i opt for cheaper options:

Continental CC6 / UC6 / MC5
Hankook S1 noble 2
