good recommend of tyre 251/55/r17

What size? 251 or 215?

Is it 215/55/17? I just change to 215/50/17, MC5 - RM330 at Klang
I feel MC5 little bit more comfort than PS4 but PS4 wet grip very good.

Cannot generalize coz Continental does make excellent tires too if you look at their top of the line CSC series which competes directly with Michelin's PS series, often beating Michelin as well in comparison reviews.

Yes CSC6 compete with PS4 not PS4s(King of tyre).

I think CSC too thin(soft) layer coz fast finish treadwear compare with Michelin. Easy koyak also, bad experienced for my friend just using it(CSC5) for one month.

Hmm not really true, CSC6 now is competing with PS4S. On the other hand Continental is aiming to put the new CPC6 to compete with PS4 now. CPC6 is a replacement for CSC5 and CPC5 together. That's why CSC6 now is not available below 19' where the CPC6 will fill up this gap.

Yeah I heard about this issue with CSC but so far I've used them for almost 2 years now (about 30+k km), still very good and no complaints. True though that it wears out a bit faster than PS or F1. I'm still very happy with this CSC5, the best tire I've used so far.

You're lucky, my 2 officemate had bad experienced (tayar koyak) with continental tyre in the middle of highway during lunch hour(hot time). rclxub.gif I also worried now coz using MC5 at one of my MPV, feel too soft. Normally driving it for long distance vocation, just imagine if it happened during night time at Karak highway or on the way to Gua Musang cry.gif

dear experts. I am planning to change my tyres on my Renault Fluence. 215/50/17. Any recommendation? I prefer balanced with a little performance for occasional spirited driving. Currently using stock Continental Premium Contact 2. Quite satisfied with it, just it worn out too quickly.

Was comparing Hankook S1 Noble and V12 Evo2. Any other recommendations?

iF you confident with conti why not try ContiMaxContact, for performance & safety go to PS4, I bought it(PS4) at RM450 each before GST at Klang. thumbsup.gif

How is the noise level? As I know MaxContact is the UHP or Sports oriented while Premium Contact are comfort biased.

I'm using both MC5 & PS4, feel MC5 more comfort than PS4 but MC5 long last than PS4. PS4 long last than CSC5. PS4 better on wet compare than MC5, dry performance not much different.

Probably coz you don't push them much in the dry hence cannot feel much difference.

Yes not really hard drive coz my turbo engine only can go 0-100 km/h around 5-6 second. Casual drive at highway around 130-180kmh in dry & 100-150kmh in wet. My friend driving Mazda 3 2.4 oem tyre MC5 & still prefer MC5 coz very comfort, low noise & long last plus reasonable price.

That's quite fast already but I mean do you push quite hard in the corners too? coz that's when you will feel the real grip, and behavior of the tires when they start to slide.
*
Yes, with turbo engine the advantage at corner. Could feel the power after the corner. That's why I need very good tyre to grip at corner, last time try Michelin premacy, not as good as PS4 when at hard corner from Ijok to Sg. Buloh or from Sepang to P.D.
