Hi sifus, my toyota rush is hitting 80,000km with the stock dunlop st20 tyre. Any recommendation and what would be the price for the tyres?
The tyre size is 215/65R16 and was looking at a rm300-350 budget per tyre.
Thanks sifu for the helpπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

Got quoted rm350 per piece 215/65r16 continental tyre (4x4contact i presume?).  Was thinking going for it as i cant find dunlop D05 in melaka.

jf don't go off road. no need 4x4 tyres. - noisy
conti cc6 got good review for silent.

currently i am using michelin 3st. very silent..soft... not for off road. will botak faster.

hi goohti,

mind to share what is the price difference between Conti CC6 and Michelin 3ST for your size?

could you comment (based on your user experience) about the 3St and CC6?

many thanks in advance.

3st - very silent . soft compound . thread wear 240. meaning sidewall is also soft and wear off is faster. excellent for highway use.
price base on lazada, cc6 is cheaper by 10%. cc6 is the entry level where 3st is premiun grade.
xm2 is michelin entry level, harder sidewall, rm 20 cheaper

Thanks for the recommendation, they only have 4x4contact in store now, the other option would be :

1) Michelin Primacy SUV RM380
2) Dunlop LM704 RM 290
3) Toyo Open Country U/T RM 345

Very tempted on the Dunlop LM 704 for the pricing, issit worth the buy? The car is only for easy driving around nearby neighbourhood and occasionally kl-mlk trip. Prefer comfort>grip>noise.

very good price the shop is offering .
4x4 tyre had harder sidewall. so sacrifice the comfort .
rush is not a heavy suv and you don't go off road . you may go for saloon tyre for comfort and cheaper price. which also had a better gripping than 4x4.
lm704 is ok,
toyo had finer grooves which translate to a loxer noise.
you won't go wrong on michelin on tyre..
