I am looking to change my Volkswagen Passat B7 tires (Continental 245/50/17), do I stick with Continental or look into other brands?

Been using Michelin PS4 for my Passat B7. I changed 2 sets already and am happy with it. This round it will be PS5...

Anybody using Goodyear Maxguard? How does it perform? Can't find much info about it. Heard from a local dealer it's the replacement for Triplemax 2.

Tyre price sudah increase ke?

Was surveying for donuts for my Myvi (185/55/15) and generally it's around 200-250.

Was this the normal price all this years?

Got a few quotes from my local shop on 205/55 R16 size
Continental CC7: RM300
Hankook Ventus Prime 4 K135: RM240
Toyo CR1: RM260

I'm leaning towards CC7 as i want comfort and fuel efficient tyres. Wanted to go for VP4 initially but some shop says customer feedback the tyre has bulging issue, anyone encounter that? TIA

I have a combination of vp4 and vp3 on my other car and it works just fine. But some shop told me the VP4 suffers from bulging issue. I've look up and down to see if anybody face such issue but had yet to see anyone report on this. Have you experience or heard about the VP4 having such issue?

Hi. I bought a set of 18" Michelin PS5 225/40R18 for RM640/pc today. Shuang Heng Tyre, Shah Alam.

I believe its quite a good price, considering how expensive 18" wheels usually are. + point to Michelin for their sleek tyre wall design

Any reviews about Giti tyre? Saw a Giti tyre workshop at Bangi with 'good' price.

If bulging issue, can bring back to shop and claim warranty within manufacturer warranty period.

Michelin PS4 AND PS5 nowadays can last how long a mileage…?

I used to have PS3 long time ago, but it barely lasted 40k km before hitting botak marker…

Continental Momo Tyres & Car Service review.
One of the cheaper place for Continental tyres. Price is cheaper than shxxxxe or laxxxa. Bought Cross Contact LX Sport 225/65R17 which are new tyres which is week 10 of 2025 @ RM 425 nett. Free balancing. Air valve is RM10 per tyre. Alignment is RM 60. Rest assured it is original as they help you to register warranty on a Continental app installed on your phone.

Required only for size 205/60 R17, currently using Bridgestone Turanza T005A, looking for change tho my experience with these tyre were ok, no downsides except as for right now wet handling somehow gone worse because wearing out i guess.

List i have are :
- Goodyear Assurance Maxguard
- Michelin Primacy 4 ST
- Toyo Proxes CR1
- Bridgestone Turanza T005A (i dont mind if this is the choice since im used to it)

My driving behaviors are sometimes cruising on left lane in highways, sometimes speeding because time chasing jobs regardless the weather. I dont mind budget nor noise.

Open for questions.

I'm also looking for Primacy4ST, but hear no more production/ hard to find any left over stock.
End up change to Primacy 5.
Price is slight higher than Turanza..
