this is the second time my mom give this stray cat away for people....really far from my house...coz neighbour complaining and beat the cats already
have to cross the road somemore...

i dunno..it's really damn far.. few minutes of driving....

and the cat manage to find her way home again....

when i hear it crying....and i open the door..
i almost wanna cry....

cats have special homing abilities. i lz to explain la.

Maybe because the cat pee or something nearby your house. All the animals depends on that to find their way home. Easiest way is to bring the cat all the way like 20 minues drives from your home, then they will be lost.

I do that all the time

same thing happen 2 two of my friends

first one because the cat starting to spraying all over ( marking) he decided to take somewhere far from his home..after a few months the cat was in front of his door step...skinny...then he felt guilty , putting him self in his cat shoes..he realised what he did was terrible...so he decided to keep the cat even thou the cat still sprayed all over.

so guys and girl...dont just love a pet because its cute , nice , etc but throw it away when it do something wrong or something happen to it. pets have fellings same as any living thing on earth.

Ok, my story:

I have an orange cat, I can diff it with any cat as it has a mark on its ear and have a short tail... One day, my father and mom throw it away, at the Subang airport Terminal 3... It was 5km away from my home, that time I was crying like hell... Then, for several weeks, guess what? Its in front of my door with a smokish fur as it had to go along the Highway and whatnot... I was crying and really feel bad... So, I gave ita fish and ask it to stay outside the house, everyday it comes to my house!! Really cool though...

wow,all so pity story...i got 1 dog,when i was 17 years old,my mother decided to throw him away cos the neck there got 1 big hole,fighting bruise got kulat d...throw him 5-6km away but 3 weeks later manage come back... after that,my mom feel guilty then keep on bela n take him to vet n fully recovered bela until he die...

i got 1 another story,1 cute dog,4 months old,is female 1,lot bulu tiny small 1,my parents decided to throw away cos always curi2 sleep beside my mom when my mom sleep,haha..my mom throw him just 600m away while put inside box but not locked,after few months,i c a same dog,recoqnise her cos bela since small..she got a new owner,happy for him

this thread reminded me ,, when i was young........... my family done the samething too.......... is very sad ...........

apparenlty cats have good sight and sound recognition.

they could navigate their paths to find matching sound and images to recognize where they were originally from - even if you bag them and throw them some where.

whether they come back or not is up to them.

take my cat for example, he ran away. so happen i saw him a few times.........more than 20kms away from my house. and after a few years, he actually came back to my house - though he doesn't recognize me anymore. oh well............ but i'm just happy that he took good care of himself despite being a wanderer.

yup,i agree,the way they manja around our leg by walking n gosok our legs time is very fun ^^ the ability to come back is incredible..do they have a mini map they keep somewhere?haha
