cut down on eating, thats the biggest problem you have now, anyone eating that much without exercising will no doubt turn into a butterball.

instead of walking to school and back try fast walking or jogging.

20kg is doable in 6 months but you'll have to work hard and discipline is key.

yes reducing 20kg is really a hard work..

weekdays, do fast walk or jog a bit when back from school.. or to school if u want..

weekends, try to do some heavy exercise.. sweat it out a lot..

control ur diet.. cut down all these unnecessary junk food... get only required and balance diet.. when feeling wanna eat, substitute all these pizza, crackers, etc with fruits..

dont be put off if the weight doesnt reduce to target says 70kg.. better reduce down below obese and look for long term... or at least control the weight to 80kg, since u are young are still able to grow taller.. all the best..

i reach 90kg once sweat.gif sweat.gif & now maintaining at +/-78kg icon_idea.gif icon_idea.gif
be honest, i can't keep 70kg coz i'm 5'10" with big bones & 36 y/o sweat.gif sweat.gif what about you?

the following works for me (not sure it's good for u?)
1) workout everyday (actually walking to school is a good for u) thumbup.gif
2) control food consumption but eat enuf so that u dun hav to dig in for chips & junk food shakehead.gif
3) find out what food makes you fat. i cut down on rice (no rice for dinner) coz it makes me fat shakehead.gif
4) drink coffee. it cuts down my appetite, increase metabolic rate & "de-water" (some ppl r heavy coz body retain water) sweat.gif

that's all i could think of at the moment. good luck to u & stay slim & healthy

where are the healthy fresh fruits & green leafs?

you are consuming too much of :

- carbohidrat (source: rice,pizza)
- MSG (source: maggie mee/cup noodles/cup porridge)
- calories (source: potatoes)

you need to completely change your diet. rolleyes.gif

You're rebutting all the suggestions and comments given.

Fruits that make you fat are like durians.
Take apples, pears, oranges instead

Take plenty of vegetables, fresh ones. Try not to even cook them. I don't cook my cabbage. Kills off the nutrients (well the vet told me so, don't ask why I ask a vet about this)

Cardio is important for you, jogging for 30 minutes sounds like a fine idea. Do some weightlifting as well.

What kind of a post is this? You're so aware you're eating crap for your diet, it's so obvious you know that you're eating crap. We can tell you whatever we think is best or guide you, but at the end of the day, it seems your main problem is willpower, not the lack of knowledge. Geez....

exercise in the morning after you wake up, before you eat breakfast, since you're in afternoon school you have time in the morning right?

eat your rice for dinner, i do, just dont over eat.

coffee is bad for your bones and if you get accustomed to drinking coffee you'll start to get headaches if you dont drink coffee.

fast walk to school, the faster you walk the more wind there is rclxms.gif aaah cooling.

fruits or vegetables make good snacks, instead of whacking potato chips and such.

and like darklight said

mate, judging with your posts you are lazy. i think your classmates are not the athelete types, if they are you'd be owned.

rice is not the problem, in fact rice makes you fat cause of the carbo. what i suggest is to have a strict diet. since you are on a "burn-fat" basis, cut down on all junk food, no beers ( they have a LOT of maltose and its bad very bad ), take like 3 meals a day. 4 if you want to nibble a bit.

sweat =/= burn a lot, heck i sweat while i am sitting in my room. but if i have that mentality and with 6 meals a day i'd be like 100kg's by now.

excersise is the second most important thing, walking to school is crap......if you think its really that fat burning you should be thin by now, so it doesnt work. you need more strainous excersise...considering you want to burn more then anything, jog..find a park or in your neighbourhood. jog every morning if possible, your goal is not muscle building so keep it as such that your muscles are not over strained. if they are rest for 1 day and continue the next. if you want to do it at home then skip rope....and btw afternoon school? do it in the morn even better no sun.

get that tired thing out of your head, i know tons of mates who say they want to be fit. but when the time comes they claim that they dont have stamina, too hot and tons of excuses. they got no where...after getting to a reasonable weight, start on a sport....something that you run and jump a lot. go places that can make you work, for once a week.

AND NO WEIGHT LIFTING!!! unless you want man boobs, muscle inside and fat outside.

its the determination mate, you know the way....there is no easy way out of it. diet and excersise, the question is whether you are up to the challenge.

after you make it a habit and the adrenelin kicks in you'd be accidted to sports. so its the starting that you need to overcome.

adrenelin = natural high

damn i love that stuff.

Weightlifting is a must. Muscle that are worked up, burns fat faster than just cardio alone.
It's that concept, i read in the sites and books

its true. which is why if you have limited time, its better to weight lift for 5 minutes than to run for 10 or atleast thats what my doc told me.

Correct with comments above. I'll elucidate it briefly.
Weight training increases lean muscular mass. Muscles have a higher metabolic rate compared to other tissues. That means they burn fat at a very high rate. So the more lean muscle you have, the more fat you burn, even at rest.

Too much cardio will actually make people lose muscle mass, leading to a slower metabolic rate ---- > faster fat gain.
That's why people who stay slim doing aerobics must do it CONSTANTLY! People who weight train regularly and let's say take a week off can still maintain their weight if they keep up their nutrition without any appreciable loss in muscle mass or any gain in fat for as long as 3 weeks. wink.gif

the best way is to jog, yes weightlifting does work...but it has its side effects.

without a proper trainer or a proper guide, you can get tons of terrible injuries. even in simple excesises like push ups...if your back aint stright you will get hurt.

and if you dont reduce your body fat ratio, first.....you will have man boobs. then you will look like crap.

i have one friend who did just that, didnt go and burn some fat before hand. now he looks terrible without shirt...

um, the guy is near 200lbs, if he's the average malaysian male height(iirc 170-180cm?) he's fat and probably already has manboobs. having been fat before(not that i'm slim now doh.gif ) man boobs comes with being fat. lifting weights arent going to worsen the situation.

he's just as likely to suffer knee/ankle injuries jogging(remember 91kg is alot to stress your knees and ankles with especially if you havent already been jogging often) as he is (insert injury here) while weight lifting.

imo listen darklight, he looks like terminator in his avatar and he says that was him when he was smaller. rclxm9.gif

btw: no offense calling you fat nightstalker, just saying it as it is. i feel and know the pains of being overweight, i also know the joy of losing the extra weight so good luck with losing it. thumbup.gif

well its all in the moderation....lifting weights wont worsen, aye...but without a proper diet and a more fat burning workout. it can back fire. thats what happened to my friend and i am telling it based on that

I'm not going question your bodybuilding knowledge, but here's a few links to prove that weightlifting is far superior compared to cardio.Every single one of these transformation stories, have incorporated weightlifting into their routine. So, are you to say that lose fat first, then start weightlifting?

http://bodybuilding.com/fun/trans_f67.htm [ At the time I weighed 190 lbs. at 28% BF and finally got down to 130 lbs. at 12% BF.]

http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/louis14.htm [Fat guy to female magnet]

http://bodybuilding.com/fun/bbinfo.php?page=Transformations [more here]

Say what you want, weightlifting is of extreme importance to all people looking to lose fat. Especially at his size. Say what you want, believe in whatever you want, but don't bug other people in their quest to lose fat.

Btw, the only terrible injury I got from pushups was when I fell off the beds on my 70th rep. It was in camp, and I had no gym, so I had to utilize two double-decker beds to do push-ups for a maximum range of movement. Injuries;

Scratched wrists.
