how does a company help you in getting a PR?

Yeah. Company promised to help me get the PR.

But i am still waiting for the right time. as I am just here for like 7 months+ with a S pass.

I don't think my chances will be high. wondering when is the right time..

Singapore has charged 22 Indian National, including a woman, with providing false salary information to obtain their work permits, the manpower ministry said on Wednesday.

The 10 people from a group of 22 Indian nationals faces up to seven weeks in jail after they pleaded guilty on Tuesday. They would also be permanently banned from working in the city state.

For the remaining 12, one would go for pre-trial on February 28 while 11 others have sought an adjournment for their cases.

The group of 21 males and 1 woman, aged between 24 and 39, had made false statements to the Controller of Work Passes between November 2010 and September 2013 in connection with the applications for 19 Employment Passes (EPs) and three S Passes (SPs). They were employed by four separate companies.

The Ministry stressed that applicants for EPs or SPs must meet the minimum salary requirement. However, the accused persons knew that their employers would pay them less than the amounts declared, it said.

The Ministry said it would separately take action against the employers and the employment agents involved.

Offenders face fine up to 20,000 Singapore dollars and/or imprisoned up to two years for having made false declaration under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act.

when i got the job , hr din even put salary, the form stated $0.

but i got the S pass anyway.

then i ask hr why like that, she say she make a mistake but updated it already.

still if $0 can get S pass, why need to catch these indians? lol

since ppl were sharing about their rent.

my previous rent was $530, small single room at the back and everything is included @ toapayoh.

my rent now is $350, the same small single room at the back with no furniture. nothing. just water heater. no washing machine as well.

but i save a lot and my office is just across the street. so i saved transport too. still at toa payoh.

Ah.. no choice because the landlord do not use washing machines.

I do my laundry at the 24 hours laundry shop. once a week, $5.

of course i would be happier if she have a washing machine.

i prefer stay alone..

unfurnished, no washing machine, no wifi, cannot cook.

basically i just rent an empty utility room.

the down side is she always enter my room when i am not around.

just like any other hdb utility room ah.

i think he aunty do not know value or she super OCD so nobody can tahan her, that's why her rent is low.

every night before i go to sleep i will put the chair behind the door.

i am rarely home as well.
