I used to work and live in Singapore for almost two years. But, I was not happy to live there although you could earn satisfied salary. Personally, the highly population and competitive culture in Singapore did not suit me well. Unfortunately, they didn't resonate with my heart at all. Well, I guess it really depends on people's perspective or preference.

QUOTE(kswee @ Nov 6 2013, 11:31 PM) hello everyone, can we survive with 2k salary in singapore? accommodation and living expenses rate? how much can we save? 500sgd? I remembered I spent around $1k for expenses including rental, internet, and utility. But, you may spend more than $1k if you live alone in rental apartment. So, I think it's better for you to share rental apartment with your friend(s) or family member(s). This post has been edited by wanisika: Nov 7 2013, 09:50 AM

QUOTE(dewVP @ Nov 9 2013, 09:42 AM) For job application in Malaysia, we include our name, address and telephone number on the top of the resume. For job application in Singapore, is it OK to include our Malaysia contact details? Would that caused the resume to be flushed straight to the 'rejected' side? Well, it's highly possible that they may not contact you if you include Malaysia contacts. Why? It's because some Malaysians and other foreigners like Philippines and India who are already in Singapore are looking for a job there. So, they prefer calling Malaysians or other foreigners who are now in Singapore for easier and faster interviews.

QUOTE(vern17 @ Nov 8 2013, 11:18 PM) Is that hard to get a job in SG ? Yes, you need to work very hard to get a job there because many people including Singaporeans are fighting for "rice". This post has been edited by wanisika: Nov 9 2013, 11:35 AM
