Does anyone know how long it takes for EP to get approve? I submitted one week ago.
*
It can take as fast as 1 day to approve. If unlucky and they pick you to do some background check, can take up to 1 or 2 months

1st, i am asking solution here and not looking for flame, and for the case, i dont even accept it, they straight apply for me. so do u think we should interview 1 company, wait few months see the company apply the work pass to you onot? of coz i will keep interview until i found the job, sign the letter of appointment, not main suka suka. if ur not helping, u can just keep silent and do nothing instead of posting non-constructive post
*
Hmm..has your work pass been approved and issued? If not approved, then the company has to withdraw it.

How did they manage to apply it for you? You would have to fill in the form and sign.

Hey guys,
Just wanted to ask those who have submitted their PR Application.

One of the documents requested was : Testimonials from previous employer stating the nature and duration of employment and also the last drawn basic salary

Is that a must to submit that? Need to get the letter from all previous employers even if it's in Malaysia?

Hope to clarify this. Thanks!

Company ask to go through probation first before hire for full-time and apply permit. is it possible? I cant use social visa right ?
*
It's illegal to work with a social visit pass. The company must get a work pass for you.

no documents are needed to be translated if from Malaysia. Unless your documents are in Chinese or some other language that is not Malay or English.

Thanks for the clarification!

QUOTE(shirokie @ Jan 17 2014, 01:23 PM)
i have done quite a lot of search on conversion to Singapore driving licence but yet to find the answer.  When extract our driving licence from JPJ, do we need to sign or fill up any form? what i know is that Singapore Traffic Police requires only the extract of driving licence in Malaysia for the conversion purpose and accordingly the Malaysia Driving Licence should still valid. Am i right?
*
I just received my driving license.

You can first go book basic theory test from the driving center (usually waiting time abt 3-4 months). Then go JPJ to get your extract (extract cannot be more than 6 months when you apply for conversion). At JPJ you need to fill up form and state reason why you want the extract. If you state that you want to convert to Sg license, they will punch a hole in your Msia license making it invalid.
After you pass you BTT, you can apply for Sg license conversion.

so if u drive to jpj...u will be stranded there? cause u got no license to drive home  sweat.gif  sweat.gif
You do not even need to be present to get the extract...it can be done on behalf.
my dad got the extract for me end of last year and posted it to me without me being in JPJ
*
Ya, that's what i was thinking too! If they punch a hole then you can't drive back.

Actually it depends on the JPJ branch. My hometown branch required me to be there to get the extract. Cannot get on behalf.

planning to head to SG for job. wanna ask here, for those jobs posted on Jobstreet/jobDB SG, the poster never really mentioned the nationality matter. In that case, can I proceed to apply still?

where do you guys look for SG jobs normally, from Malaysia?

Thanks all taiko!  notworthy.gif
*
They are not allowed to mention preferred nationality (unless "Only Singaporeans").
You can try applying for the job, or call them to ask if it's open to foreigners.

Hey guys,

Want to check with those who submitted PR before.

What if after you've submitted your documents (and still processing), and you changed your job?
What are the documents/info that we need to send to ICA to update them?

Appreciate any feedback.
Thanks!

pr application need company sponsor, no? The very least you would need is a sponsor letter from your new company.
*
QUOTE(tailtwist @ Feb 18 2014, 10:47 PM)
You will require a sponsor letter from your new company stating that you are working for xxx company and that also you will need to get EP/WP/PEP updated. Even if you do stay in a same company, you will still need this letter, and also a letter from MOM mailed to you that is to be filled up by your current company HR/finance.
*
Thanks guys.

So i get the new company to fill up the Annex A (PR submission employer section) and i also submit the new EP and offer letter (LOA) to ICA.
Should be enough right?

Is Starhub no good? I have plans to sign up for a 2-year contract with them.
*
I have a 2 year contract with Starhub. Signed their mobile, broadband and cable TV plan.
It has been over 1 year now and i don't face any issues. Except for that 1 time the cable tv was down for 1 day.
So far i'm happy with it.

Maybe it depends on your location?

Did you check with them if your company gets any discount? Some can get 10% - 30% off monthly bills each month.
Can just ask the customer service to check for you.
