How much salary I should look for in Sg with my 2 years working experience in Australia as IT Support?
SO far I have applied more than 20 jobs since one week ago and got no response at all. |

Another qestion
My friend received offer from a company in SG but they asked her to fill out the visa form first then only sign for the offer letter. Is that how it works? What if she not agree with the offer letter? Visa can be canceled without any issue? |

QUOTE(razo2 @ Nov 20 2013, 10:51 AM) Is the same same mine. I got an offer but apparently for hired professional, mom have to review your friend first based on working experience, education and salary. Yes, the company needs to comply with a certain amount of salary to apply for an EP for professionals. This process is to protect the local graduate from being left out in the hiring process if it is an entry level job. So it should be fine to go for visa process first then only read the hard copy of offer letter in Singapore?Dont forget EP visa is sponsored by the company. If the company/employee pulls out, the EP visa will be invalid/cancelled (it takes 7 working days for online), if i am not mistaken. That same goes if your friend wants to switch to a different company from her previous company that sponsored her EP. This is to protect the company from being used as a EP visa provider. Her new company needs to be her new EP visa employer. http://www.mom.gov.sg/foreign-manpower/pas...#employerchange "To apply for a new Employment Pass whenever the Employment Pass holder changes an employer. There is no need to cancel the existing pass before doing so." For more information: http://www.mom.gov.sg/Documents/services-f...sConditions.pdf page 6 onwards. QUOTE(razo2 @ Nov 20 2013, 10:53 AM) I got a friend that worked for SingTel. As far I know, SingTel is not doing too well in business wise for their Optus at Australia. How about StarHub?So, not long ago my friend got canned at SingTel this year. Many people say that Singapore is learning what Australia Telstra doing, outsource their jobs to India. |

QUOTE(razo2 @ Nov 20 2013, 09:23 PM) I actually discussed about my offer, OT, offshore rates before I actually ask them to proceed into processing the application and EP visa. So, I am not sure if your friend actually negotiated the salary package. I am going in as a professional, so they cant pay me peanuts because MOM has a minimum salary for applying those visa. My guess is MOM will monitor my progress in the company. SHe has been told the salary rate and commission as well. And it is actually quite well known college so I gess they won't do anything tricky? All of my discussion is made by email. I never left any verbal contract agreement unchecked without an email confirmation. This is a very important step to cover both side of my ass if anything goes wrong that is not family related issues. |
