QUOTE(razo2 @ Nov 19 2013, 02:22 PM) Wow. Looks like the 1st company wants to be nasty to you. It is best to seek advice from Singapore Immigration, from past experience, never ever trust anyone in the forum for immigration advice. Just call them up directly or seek an immigration adviser at SG. http://www.mom.gov.sg/foreign-manpower/pas...ncellation.aspxFrom my understanding you can cancel the online application pretty quick (seems like 7 working days is norm). Yep, better call MOM.

QUOTE(puppyee @ Nov 19 2013, 05:32 PM) But they still need your details such as previous work experiences, scanned copy of education certificates, etc in order to proceed with application. Imo, it is impossible that the person whom the company applied for, does not know or have not provided the company these information/document, when the company applied his/her pass. those can be obtained just by requesting before hand for the person to provide during interview. in the end, the company still have all the details required

Also, there're questions that he/she needs to answer in the application form. So I still find it impossible that the person does not know or did not give consent. I've been through the process twice this year. This post has been edited by puppyee: Nov 19 2013, 05:59 PM

QUOTE(deodorant @ Nov 19 2013, 03:53 PM) If I remember correctly (it's been a while), the company doesn't need your signature or even your consent to apply for the pass. You only come into the picture when bringing your IPA to complete the formalities at WPSC, EPSC, etc. Wah so no system one meh.

Another qestion
My friend received offer from a company in SG but they asked her to fill out the visa form first then only sign for the offer letter. Is that how it works? What if she not agree with the offer letter? Visa can be canceled without any issue?

QUOTE(dD_se7en @ Nov 19 2013, 01:54 PM) 1st, i am asking solution here and not looking for flame, and for the case, i dont even accept it, they straight apply for me. so do u think we should interview 1 company, wait few months see the company apply the work pass to you onot? of coz i will keep interview until i found the job, sign the letter of appointment, not main suka suka. if ur not helping, u can just keep silent and do nothing instead of posting non-constructive post No co will apply mom if you didn't give your nod or indication to accept an offer! Need not sign any letter of offer in this case. Co also have debarment points criteria to answer mom for withdrawal. Let you know co wont do withdrawal midway, if mom reject app then case closed. If iPa issued, just wait till it lapsed with remark by co> applicant not reachable or decline offer. Either note, it will be in mom system. You can fight your case that you didn't accept offer in the first place till the moon rains. If some pepper and salt added to the remarks, you will not know at all. You can ask around many cant tell why my app just keep rejected. This post has been edited by vincentwmh: Nov 19 2013, 08:44 PM

Is that how it works? What if she not agree with the offer letter? Visa can be canceled without any issue? Is the same same mine. I got an offer but apparently for hired professional, mom have to review your friend first based on working experience, education and salary. Yes, the company needs to comply with a certain amount of salary to apply for an EP for professionals. This process is to protect the local graduate from being left out in the hiring process if it is an entry level job. Dont forget EP visa is sponsored by the company. If the company/employee pulls out, the EP visa will be invalid/cancelled (it takes 7 working days for online), if i am not mistaken. That same goes if your friend wants to switch to a different company from her previous company that sponsored her EP. This is to protect the company from being used as a EP visa provider. Her new company needs to be her new EP visa employer. http://www.mom.gov.sg/foreign-manpower/pas...#employerchange"To apply for a new Employment Pass whenever the Employment Pass holder changes an employer. There is no need to cancel the existing pass before doing so." For more information: http://www.mom.gov.sg/Documents/services-f...sConditions.pdfpage 6 onwards.

So it should be fine to go for visa process first then only read the hard copy of offer letter in Singapore? QUOTE(razo2 @ Nov 20 2013, 10:53 AM) I got a friend that worked for SingTel. QUOTE(skycrew @ Nov 20 2013, 03:53 PM) Can I survive with $2500 in Singapore ? There's plenty of bus drivers, cleaners, etc on way lower than $2500 and they aren't dying in the streets, so you could definitely survive on that.
