Hi guys, just a quick question:

What pass should I get if I'm a Malaysian working as an audit associate with a pay of <3k?

I believe auditors fall under "specialised jobs" but the Employment Pass requires a pay of >3.3k.

Thanks for your reply.

I'm assuming since there is no definitive list of occupations for each pass, we use the wage as a guide?

Normally when renting a room...the rental will include utilities bills like water/electricity/etc unless specified. I negotiated for internet access to be in included in the monthly room rental last time on top of those mentioned

Should be tie to wage only. I only know your job title will affect what pass you get even you pass the EP salary, not the other way round. Some people here said they got EP when they are below the wage requirement. Don't know how true. Maybe you can try apply EP first if you want. Ask your HR.

I think there's a few category for EP. Some are meant for fresh graduate, whereby the minimum salary serves more as a guideline rather than a mandatory requirement. Perhaps someone here can clarify.

Thank you for the info. I think it is not a problem
Dear all, how important is an air-cond in your room? Is it a necessity or a luxury?

I am searching for a room around Toa Payoh? Anyone knows a room which needs to be rented out? Please PM me.

I thought I could live with an air cooler or tower fan instead but now I don't think that is possible. laugh.gif

I live in PJ and I use air cond only at night when I'm awake - cos we have ceiling fans

But then I went to SG for a couple days, felt so much hotter. Or maybe it's around the same and in SG ppl walk more.

Criteria of dependant PR application all depend on the sponsor? Hard to get or not for spouse? Kids one can wait, making kids now to make up for my NS. laugh.gif laugh.gif

main will still be the "sponsor"
spouse detail may affect i suppose
reentry permit expiry date will follow the sponsor
sponsor PR revoke...everyone follow suits.

PS: if husband is spouse...husband is liable for NS

there are people (degree holders) who can get EP on pay <3k as well. in any case your company normally decides what type of pass it will try to apply for you.
