Normally singapore salary is deduct for CPF contribution which eligible for PR and citizen. Other than that, maybe some company got offer charity donation which allow you to make do income tax relief. This donation will be automatic deduct from your salary after you had agree with it during the offer letter signing.

Mid of April is the due date for IRAS filling. You doesn't need to pay at that time. Just wait until the notice of assessment mail it to you. You can opt for full payment or GIRO it monthly.

As far as i know, some of the money changer in The Arcade, Raffles Place offer high rate.

How large of a sum are u referring?
For every difference of 0.01 in the exchange rate with you changing SGD1k, it is only RM10.
Do you think it is worth the time and cost travelling around the island for that amount?
I recommend that you go checkout the money changers around you and see which one offer you better rates.
I know the money changer inside causeway point has very pathetic rates though...

With 10 years experience and Microsoft and VMware cert, i think 4k is just below average. Maybe the non degree holder is your drawback.

I'm also holding a network and infrastructure role in a financial firm.
