It all depends on what is your definition for the best hosting:
- Best uptime?
- Best customer support?
- Best price?

Normally the three criterias don't come together; it all depends on which is more important for you.

Thanks.

Hi john,
What do you mean by evidence? I don't see any evidence at:
http://www.giztech.com.my/server.php

Please enlighten me.

Thanks.

is the 99.99% uptime guarenteed support with evidence?

For example mine is support with: http://www.giztech.com.my/server.php

To teq: Is the domain registered by yourself or the host? If it's by urself, you need to go to the control panel and change it yourself.

I hate hosts that goes out charge people with low prices and compromise their service or they simply just provide lousy hosting.

Currently my hosting website is undergoing some revamp. So if you guys need any hosting needs, feel free to pm me.

( I hope self promoting is allowed! Well, if it's not then i'm terribly sorry)

Hi John,
Yes, I'm a hosting provider.

Frankly speaking, the uptime you mentioned doesn't tell you much about the server reliability. That's why we need Alertra, Websitepulse & Hyperspin.

Thanks.

Hi john,
The server status page shows which service ports are online. We do have that in our customer portal. However, it should be hosted on an offsite server, which I hope for your case http://www.giztech.com.my/server.php is not monitoring the server, giztech.com.my.

As for the paid monitoring companies, they give visitors confidence. The reason is because Alertra & Websitepulse (I'm not too sure about Hyperspin) have a policy that the uptime log cannot be edited, regardless the problem is with their own monitoring server or the client's server. As such, the visitors as well as web hosting providers trust these companies a lot.

Furthermore, they generate user friendly uptime reports:- a quick glance tells you the uptime percentage of a server port monitored.

Thanks and I don't work for Alertra/Websitepulse, hehe...

Those are paid monitoring and alerting company regarding your server issues. Mine is a written script updated every few minutes. It shows the status of my server to my customers.

Well, i should say everyone is subjected to their own preferences.

Yup, it's up to the web hosting provider to choose which to use. I was just introducing a more preferred method by the WHT and SGWHT community (Sad to say MYWHT isn't active)

Nope, how I wish I was born as a genius to skip school so that I can finish my CAL at 15 (if my calculation is correct) I'm just an ordinary student who went through all the academic years without skipping. Thanks for your interest on me, by the way smile.gif

ps: I believe the mods have their eyes on every single thread, better stop before we get warned.
