anyone familiar with fortigate 50b firewall? dyndns not working, whole day bintulu and miri branch no need to work rofl...

actually i also dunno whether is firewall fault o not

the case is, the remote server for btu/miri workers to use RDC come in through dyndns.biz kena virus, who do that i really dunno, gonna whack his head LOL so i get back an antique xp pc to use temporarily for them last time b4 upgrade de. i set the ip for this old pc to the same ip for the one kena virus, so by right the dyndns will point to this old pc ma when external network comes in. but now i can't even ping the dyndns URL, don't say use RDC come in. but internal network can ping and go in to this old server using RDC.

abit suspect is the firewall block inbound connection, but nobody change the setting pun.  need to try to bypass the firewall liao.

from what i can see, your network currently doesn't allow incoming traffic? because remote desktop connection doesn't connect. Is there a VPN for your miri/BTU users?

also, your current DHCP server might hold the MAC address in check and not release your IP to the XP PC. it might say connected but you need to confirm this again. this is what i'm having problems with right now, setting DHCP too low will have too many unnecessary traffic, too high and cannot release IP to visitors
