Last time, I keep sign up for 5% cashback, now 1%. Don't know it is there any visa or master card better than 1% cashback for all spending for RM1000 user?

Hong Leong WISE Card... condition is 10 transactions x RM50(or above) in a calendar month... 10% cash back...

I earn RM100 last month... swipe a lot for CNY groceries...

3% flat rate is equal to effective rate 5.49%, which is much higher than 3% in FD...

meaning if you borrow money 3% flat rate and put in FD 3.5%... actually you rugi ~2% in a year...

You mean 3% per month/per annum? If flat rate 3% per annum... I think it is still worth.
*
easy concept nia...

bank give you 12K, you give bank 360 upfront, then you return bank 1K EVERY month. (effective rate more than 5.5%)

you give bank 12K, bank NO NEED give you 1K every month, then return 12K + 360 to you after 1 year. (this is effective rate 3%)

if bank can offer 12K to me, then I can return the money + 3% interest AT THE END of 1 year. I berapa Million punya offer pun accept cepat cepat... lols...

Why still want to swipe (give business) on OCBC's Titanium since their cashback reduction from 5% down to only 1% rebate? Even the 1% is unlimited, but it's still low at 1% only compared with its previously higher 5% rebate!

Even with the previously amended minimum income requirement down to 24K from 36K initially, it is definitely not a worth credit card to swipe to give business for OCBC since they're so stingy and calculative by reducing the cashback down to 1% only! What even more to say now as they're so super-stupidly increased the minimum income requirement to 60K per annum? Maybe their marketing department were filled with all dumb and backward-thinking human being?

With its minimum income requirement getting ups and downs like share prices, how could-able this card labelled as higher class type, when it easily can be applied with 24K per annum previously? Same scenario to OCBC WMC(with RM388 un-waiveable annual fee) that had changed its minimum income requirement to 100K from 60K previously, as the ups and downs like share prices here showed they even don't know where's the exact class that they're deserved to stand properly!

Therefore, OCBC cards definitely a Big-No-Favorite credit card to hold nowadays.

Hi all experts in credit card, need you all advice... I got WISE + OCBC currently.

WISE
- petrol + groceries + mobile. Can swipe more than 10x RM50 easily every month.
- Average RM750 for these 3 categories monthly.
- Average cash back RM75 per month.

OCBC
- TNB RM120 monthly
- SYABAS RM60 monthly
- TMNET RM60 monthly
- ASTRO RM80 monthly
- Insurance (personal + family) RM620 monthly
- Others expenses which not fall in WISE categories = average RM100 monthly
- Cukai pintu RM300 half yearly.
- Average cash back RM11 monthly

Total cash rebate = RM86 monthly.

Any suggestion to have better cash back? Any better credit card suit my spending pattern?

Thank you.

Seems like what you spend using OCBC is around 1k per month, which you can consider watami cc, 3% for min RM3k spending per quarter.

me leaning towards WATAMI than MAYBANK2CARD AMEX to replace OCBC.

Bulk of your OCBC spending are on Utilities/Multimedia/Insurance. If using mbb2card amex, the bills you can pay is TNB and TMNET (online bill payment via M2U). The rest either not accept AMEX or thru counter (e.g. ASTRO).

your OCBC average cashback is RM11/mo, so that translate to spending of RM1.1k/mo. if you can swipe ~RM1.1k/mo using WATAMI, 3% of ~RM3.3k/quarter gives you ~RM99 cashback (or ~RM33/mo)

Less the hassle paying the bills, less hunting for AMEX acceptance by merchants; WATAMI serves better for you.  biggrin.gif

Thank you all for the advice.

Can Watami online banking support pay TNB, SYABAS, ASTRO and Telekom? If yes, then I will switch from OCBC to WATAMI.

Take AEON Watami, 3% CB every quarter subject to min cumulative spending of RM3K per quarter and capped at RM5K per quarter.

Can AEON online banking support bill payment online for the following?
- TNB
- SYABAS
- TMNET
- ASTRO
- MPAJ (Assessment fee)
