I applied for this last thursday at an ocbc branch, since i live near a branch it was more convenient for me. Today i got a sms telling me that my card will arrive in 7 days.

Since the benefits of this card might be gone nobody knows for certain yet, and also I just found out I won't be getting the swipe 3 times RM50 gst rebate because I applied at a branch (ridiculous), dunno if i should activate it or just leave the card in my drawer

Great my card just got approved and now this happened.

Yeah same here, my monthly expenditure on the essentials (petrol, utilities, groceries, food) are roughly between RM700-RM1000.

1% would give me average RM9 cashback per month, ~RM110 per year.
If no GST waiver, then I'd get about RM60 cashback in a year.

Hoping and keeping my fingers crossed that ocbc will retain the 5% cashback.

Best card for us, but not so much for ocbc.

Just collected my card yesterday after 7 working days from application. Quite fast eh.
Better use it as much as I can before the benefits get reduced

It was removed for about a week, then just added back recently.

Really need an alternative card for weekday petrol and bills payment now

Nothing special about it. The only feature is the 1% unlimited cashback on anything, if you think that is special.

Just paid my broadband bill with the Titanium for the 6% cashback.. should be my last transaction with this card for now.

It really depends on how much you spend a month, and your spending patterns. There's a guide somewhere that can help u decide, let me find the link for you.

Personally I'd only keep as few cards as I need.

In that case I'd dump the OCBC Ti, as your expenses are less than 1k.

In the rare case that Amex is not accepted by a merchant, swipe your mb2 Visa.

They are encouraging more youngsters to get these cards, I wonder why.

To be safe, cancel it a month before your card expiration.
