If they remove the 5%, I do hope they will at least sweeten the deals..maybe 2% rebate for all transactions...hehe good for my monthly insurance autodebit.

I will still retain the card if it's 1% for all. RM10 monthly for insurance x 12 still give me RM120 nett smile.gif I will miss the 5% for dining alot though as most chinese restaurants here do not accept amex sad.gif

I am anticipating the revamped Platinum card to be more attractive.

you have monthly insurance of rm1000?

i will also keep if unlimited 1%, just wonder it does not include which transaction. some 1% cash back card is not include petrol. but petrol will use mbb2 amex instead, 5XTP still have 2%
*
Yeah, including parents smile.gif

but the essential 1% is not include petrol
*
If you refer to the other 2 cards listed at OCBC website, petrol is not included too.

They have not updated the main website yet. So still unsure whether they are retaining the annual bonus feature.

Does this mean I can maximise the 5% Rebate (RM50) between 15-28 Nov 2013 ?
*

Just applied for this card few weeks ago, the OCBC personnel never even mention about this rebate discontinued thingy.

Any chance to cancel this card after approval without incurring any charges?>
*
Since it is still not approved, call up CS and cancel your application. Make sure you follow up.

QUOTE(pakcikpelik @ Nov 10 2013, 03:11 PM)
just don't activate and don't swipe the card
just cut and throw the card into rubbish bin
then no need to pay a single cent...not even the rm50 gov tax
*
Are you sure that the GST is not imposed when the card is not activated?

I can keep this card in the drawer after the upcoming statement date on 12th. doh.gif

You still can get 5% rebate for 12th-28th purchases. Just don't terminate the card too before getting the rebate

Beginning 29 November 2013, all benefits and privileges attached to the Credit Cards listed
below will be removed
and replaced by the corresponding new features.

Titanium Card  FREE for Life.  1% rebate on total retail spending.
Listed below will be removed, does it means remove 5%?  flex.gif

I am guessing removing the 1% rebate.  unsure.gif

I am a little confuse here.
*
5% will be removed

They did some mistake on my payment n charge me interest so complain bout it n said very disappointed n would like to terminate immediately... later on somebody call back ask me not to terminate first as the bank would like to compensate haha. So I got it.

Not sure if we said wanna terminate ocbc immediately they will counter offer or not to retain customers.

I just checked that I have fulfilled the 10k usage condition although my anniversary is on April. Will be changing my insurance auto-debit to Aeon watami and put this card on cold storage until April 2015.
