QUOTE(yusiang @ Oct 25 2013, 12:00 PM) if OCBC no more 5%...then will citibank cash back platinum be a good substitute for WEEKDAY petrol spending?and which card will be better to substitute its utilities bills, like astro, streamyx, unifi and etc, 5% rebate benefits? |

I will still retain the card if it's 1% for all. RM10 monthly for insurance x 12 still give me RM120 nett
I am anticipating the revamped Platinum card to be more attractive. This post has been edited by Human Nature: Oct 25 2013, 12:40 PM |

Either this or the UOB One Card.QUOTE(deity01 @ Oct 25 2013, 12:23 PM) and which card will be better to substitute its utilities bills, like astro, streamyx, unifi and etc, 5% rebate benefits? Auto-debit with MBB2 AMEX. 2% cash back at least. For utilities bills, it depends. If you are sure the MCC code is 4900, then HLB Wise VISA is the way to go. |

QUOTE(yusiang @ Oct 25 2013, 12:00 PM) OMG! I got to go revise all my articles that have reference to the OCBC TMC if that is the case Actually, ignoring AMEX cards, unlimited 1% can be considered pretty good for general local transactions. Even with the RM50 cap, the card is still good for up to RM5K/month of spending. This post has been edited by Gen-X: Oct 25 2013, 12:55 PM |

The OCBC Ti gonna lose its shine if the 5% is being demolished
I will cancel it and use MBB2cards only afterall my monthly usage is not that much, 1% discount is not attractive at all. |

Yeah same here, my monthly expenditure on the essentials (petrol, utilities, groceries, food) are roughly between RM700-RM1000.
1% would give me average RM9 cashback per month, ~RM110 per year. If no GST waiver, then I'd get about RM60 cashback in a year. Hoping and keeping my fingers crossed that ocbc will retain the 5% cashback. |
