That's wishful thinking.... could be true also. Since no official letter, we can complain to BNM later

Hi, I receive my latest statement today but I can't see my cash back in my statement. It suppose to be RM50 according to my previous spending. FYI, I just called to cancel my OCBC Titanium yesterday. Anyone face the same problem??

Most large bills like school fee, hospital bill, car service n repair bill, insurance premium, home appliances, gadgets, general merchandise retail outlets can't be paid by Amex. Therefore OCBC unlimited 1% is still pretty good to cater for these payment categories. Im keeping this card since it is a free for life card.
As for the GST, I think it is still a discretionary waiver depending on one's spending and repayment record.

Called to cancel the card yesterday, CS told me the card will be blocked and someone will call me within 3 working days to proceed the cancellation.

Just checked online banking, the card is still there.. Let's see what happens then.

Got a call back just now, they were asking whether I would keep the card if they rebate the RM50 GST for me.

I told them I would continue to hold OCBC card if they can upgrade it to WMC, but the answer was no, so i rejected the rebate politely and they proceed the cancellation. thumbup.gif

a GST rebate is consider a good offer already. You can accept the offer and keep it as spare card. When you want to swipe big amount such as rm10k, OCBC can rebate you rm100. biggrin.gif

WMC is not so good only, u get 1.2% rebate, but you have to pay high annual fee and GST. Maybe you can call in to request waiver of fees, but so troublesome to do that. rclxub.gif

the best thing is my CL is less 10k, despite having the card for 4 years with no single late payment, every time settled in full. doh.gif

Currently holding Maybank2card, HLB wise n AEON CC, non of them is less than 20k.

oh well, live goes on, there will be no more OCBC TI for me nod.gif
