Well, I just use 7.5 wide rim with 15inch size..Not sure if it still wrong. Btw, in terms of handling, it way good compare to normal rim. |

JJ does not matter
That's why rim buying is not so simple, you have to calculate the correct offset/width for your car Not just blindly buying rim and call it a day |

Of course the shop would not tell, they just want your money! Anyway there are so many cars like that nowadays so you just pray the police won't catch you, or else change to other properly sized rims. |

Is 15 x 7 too wide for swift? Currently having 8". Like what OC4/3 had said above, it's not just the diameter & width of the rims that matters but also the offset! Basically the smaller the offset number, the more outward your rims will be. Vice versa, the bigger the offset, the more inward they will be. I suspect in your case, your rims is too wide AND have offset too small, hence sticking outward of your fender line. If you want to know more about offset, then google it or read in wikipedia. I suggest next time when you want to buy rims, try it on the car first with the proper tires size to see how it will look like before you finalize the deal. This practice takes away any second guessing or calculations misjudgement that may happen. |

If not then don't buy at that shop! And there are tyre shop would put tyre on their new rim and install on customer car for testing. So those who are still dunno, you can ask for this service. |
