I tried ambush tactic last night. My toon is lvl 32 Night elf hunter. I have a cat as a pet. What i did is that i place a freezing trap onto a road near the Stromgarde gate. Then i shadowmeld some distance from the road while my cat prowl on the opposite side. Not a minute later, a passing orc warrior frozen by my trap. I ordered my cat to attack. As my cat attack, i gauge the warrior strength as it fought my cat. I start my attack when i'm sure i can take him. Then i done the same thing in several other spots in Arathi highland. I got 5 HK after one hour. Not bad for me.

That's what i plan for my next character.

I use my protection warrior for BG. For some reason my marksman hunter are not doing well in BG. So i resort to this cheap shot to gain some HK.

haha, i quit PVP server after being ganked repeatedly in STV. My character got stucked at lvl 59 because of being repeatedly killed everytime i want to finish a quest there. I could swear the horde gankers there work on round the clock shift because they are always there.

In PVP realm, you will be automatically flag for PVP when you enter a contested territory. Zone like Elwyn Forest and Teldrassil are alliance territory which mean's if you are a alliance player, then you will not be flagged for PVP unless you enable it or attack any horde players in that area. Zones like Redridge Mountain and Ashenvale Forest is contested territory and in this zone, everyone is a fair game. Usually zones for level 1 to 20 are faction zones, while zones level 20 and above are contested territory. You'll know it when you cross the zone's border and the name of the zone will be written in orange color.
