One of my computer [Win OS 98] currently using K-Lite Mega Codec pack ver 145...no problem at all smile.gif ..except some codecs only available for Win XP...

you might want to update your Directx as well

Becareful...when using directx uninstaller...if you messed up your directx...you gonna reinstall windows back ^^"

anyway...you using Win XP SP2, rite? ...i mean, you install Win XP with SP1 first, then install SP2 later? ...well...got some bug..which I also encounter this a few times...when you try to install the directx 9.0c, the installation will starts...and do nothing..just got the "installation successful" msg...but never change anything o_O
