"A wise man once said..." - Bu be carefull on the type of quote when you use this.
"Like the proverb..." you could use "As the saying goes..." as well |

I plan on writing a story-type essay. Let's just say I want to write an essay based in maybe England back in the days where woman only wears dresses, is it necessary to write the proper mannerism of speech? The thing is, I'm not very good in writing factual essays or stories based on modern life. :/

Preparation is important and question like story and the fifth one, you might as well modify you story line / plot based on suitability. Good luck |

QUOTE(bookie_junkie @ Nov 6 2013, 10:03 PM) Actually, I'm also facing the some issues as you and worst of all I prefer argumentative/factual essays over expository/story(I never write this type of essay). Plus, my English proficiency is so low and I write essays mostly based on my intuition which is quite bad. Just prepare and equip yourself with the knowledge and skills for essay, that's the key for you to attain flying colour result for BI |
