 Upcoming 2.1 updates: Arena PVP, Which classes/jobs will reign supreme?

As title above, which classes/jobs group combo will be good? For me PLD,SMN,BARD and SCH will be a quite powerful combos.
Any other combos you guys think will be good?(or overpowered smile.gif)

We don't know what nerf will hit the Bard, mainly i put bard in just for the utilities they can bring in to the fight.

Q: Regarding WAR, DRG, and other job/class adjustments

A:

■ In Regards to WAR
The Binding Coil of Bahamut
Especially for Turn 1 and 4, strategies have been employed that the development team hadn't considered (such as only using paladins to live through multiple stacks of a buff the boss has), and a situation has developed where paladins are favored over warrior. We apologize for this. In patch 2.1 we will be making adjustments so that warriors can do the content that paladins can do.

Adjustments to Stun
A warrior’s stun is different than paladin’s in the sense that it can be used at any time separate from the global cooldown, which is an advantage, but for specific content where stuns need to performed multiple times or with precise timing, it’s difficult to utilize warrior’s stun, so we will be making adjustments in patch 2.1 to improve its usability.

We also plan for a variety of other adjustments for warrior in patch 2.1.
■In Regards to Dragoon
About Jump
We will be making adjustments to improve Jump’s usability. (Including a reduction of the animation time). We understand there have been a lot of requests asking to make characters invulnerable while using Jump, but there is a possibility this would cause dragoon to become the only choice for DPS, so we will not be making adjustments for this.

■Job Balancing
Cross-Class Abilities
While any one of the content can be beaten with any class/job, currently, certain jobs are able to do much more damage than the other jobs due to having access to a certain cross-class abilities. We do have plans to adjust these cross-class abilities to balance out all the jobs.

Bards
We currently feel that the bards are a little too strong due to the amount of damage they can do without being impacted that much from the fight.

Melee DPS
Currently, the melee DPS have a harder time dealing damage in certain fights due to having to constantly dodge an enemy’s attack. Therefore, we do have plans to make adjustments to the fights so that melee DPS are able to do more damage.

We have plans to make numerous adjustments in patch 2.1 other than the items mentioned above. Please stay tuned!

Well mainly Bard are strong even though the dps is not so high compared to others range dps because they don't have any uptime on the dps'ing department.Heck they can dodge and still dpsing at the same time.
That what made Bard much so needed for raid(plus the silence too and mp/tp regen).

But we're not to talk about Bard in this topic, this is the general pvp discussion! smile.gif

if pvp is same as the pvp trailer and not change and consider buff character at 2.1, i must say black mage,dragoon,scholar and warrior will be work of wonder
monk need flaking and rear att to maximize damage,while bard gonna nerf which easily get kill by soon dragoon shorter animation(+2 gap closer jump) and also considering bard is abit paper armor

hmm still wondering how my taufu smn going to work in pvp....since we dont have much cd for defence i think...unlike blm that hava manawall or manaward (not sure correct spelling)

They dont even allow SMN to use crossskill stoneskin lol
Maybe intercept with your summons?
Really hope in the future they will include nuke skill for SMN by releasing the Egi.

the most we have is knockback from our pets but i dont see anymore shit...the knockback is good on melee at least but for bard and blm i guess we should just /dance when met them

the damage was so puny that i didn't even bother to use it anymore lol...Really SE need to take a look again on Enkindle, so sampah ability one for a lvl 50 skill! vmad.gif

err yes..we do use it during our cd is on and while ur summons are having spur + another wat skill + dmg for summons lol forget

although is sampah right now but i will just press any shit i got for sake of dps especially on turn 4 haha
