Ok. Here's the situation. I think I want to buy an Xbox Kinect simply because the idea of being able to exercise within the convenience of my home seems very appealing to me, and my wife. But the thing is, I do not know the first thing about any game console at all. I've always been a PC gamer and I have difficulty coordinating my brain with the joystick. Only keyboard will do for me. Lol.

So here goes my questions:

1. Could it play games such as PES, Skyrim, etc., other than the movement-related games that it specialises in? Yes, you can, you will need Xbox anyway, Kinect is just like add on controller

2. Is there a new version of Xbox that will be released any time soon? Should I wait? New Xbox One is coming soon! with new Kinect as well.

3. How much does it cost if I'm buying it at Low Yat Plaza? The cheapest I found so far in Melaka is RM1300 at Tesco Cheng, Melaka.  Not sure if you can get cheaper, previously I got my Xbox from Pbbseller, 1350, 250GB version

Ok. So I just learned there's Xbox 360 and there's Xbox One. Could it be your version, the 250GB version is that of Xbox One? How different are they?

If you are getting it for Kinect, then I suggest you wait for XBOne (Xbox One). Kinect 2.0 is way better than the Kinect now.

But with less (Kinect) games to play with. Why settle for that when there's dozens of Kinect games already available for Xbox 360?

Xbox One only available in the Asian region by the end of 2014. If you want it early, you need to either import it from US/UK/Aus or preorder from local retailer, but since piracy is rampant on Xbox platform, only few choose to import them. Not only that, if there's problem with it, you can consider your Xbox One an expensive paperweight.

We're not allowed to discuss piracy here, but a hint: next-gen won't have pirated materials, at least not now.

The Xbox 720 or well know as Xbox One had been release but yet to be in Malaysia... The Xbox One game maybe as expensive as the Ps3 games... Plus,it cant play the game from the xbox oled version like xbox 360 game...

No to piracy. We dont support it here. Besides XBOne will be hard to crack just like PS3.
Yup and they are not that good atm because of the slow Kinect sensor. The Kinect 2.0 sounds good on paper, and some preview. But need to wait for actual review to really know how good it is.
