Chronicles the rise to power of Mary Queen of Scots (Kane) when she arrives in France as a 15-year-old, betrothed to Prince Francis, and with her three best friends as ladies-in-waiting. It details the secret history of survival at French Court amidst fierce foes, dark forces, and a world of sexual intrigue.

Mary, Queen of Scots may be one of history’s most complex and intriguing figures, but she was once also just an adolescent girl in search of love! That seems to be the conceit of the CW’s answer to The Tudors, Reign, in any event. In the series, the young Queen (Adelaide Kane) must journey from the convent where she grew up to the French court where she once again meets the boy she has been engaged to since the age of six, France’s Prince Francis (Toby Regbo). In life, Francis was sickly. In the land of CW he is a strapping playboy who yearns to stand on his own.
Francis’ mother, Queen Catherine (Megan Follows), is less-than enamored with Mary as it is, when she receives dire warnings from her confidant and psychic friend Nostradamus (Rossif Sutherland, Donald’s son/Kiefer's half-brother) that young Mary will cause her son’s demise she sets about plotting against the Scottish harlot! That is to say lass. We want to pull out the Nostradamusness of it all. He was in fact at court and counseled Catherine de Médicis, but he would have been somewhere in his 50s at the time, and not the roughish hunk that Sutherland is. Turning the drama up to 11 is Francis’ (historically non-existent) ******* half-brother Sebastian “Bash” (Torrance Coombs) who seems to have an affection for young Mary. So there’s your first three-way, pardon me, love triangle. We know how the CW loves the girl between two brothers angle.

seems better than white queen 

The White Queen sucks, man.. but ive watched it until the end because i always fond of war of roses story..

i skeptical of CW series. full of beautiful faces is a plus, but usually amateur-ish, rookies acting. no nudity somemore..

but i'll give a try..

no one support Reign ? 

take away the history, it is quite entertaining as a fictional show ; episode 4 the ending never expected, thought was the tunnel but otherwise
