QUOTE(Cheesenium @ Oct 17 2014, 01:56 PM) No. It isnt worth downloading. Agreed 100%HotS is very very grindy. The gold gain is too low even till you'll spend a month to grind daily for a free hero. Unless you are content to stick with the weekly free heroes rotation or willing to spend money on the game, you can very much skip this game. This isn't Hearthstone where it is still the best TCG in the market where you can stomach the grind that isnt too bad to begin with. HotS's grind is awful while there are so many good MOBAs in the market, why play a mediocre game like HotS with its poor business model. The gameplay is good like what you expect from a blizzard game but the grind and the absurd pricing at this time and age pretty much ruined the game. League got away with high pricing because it was the first. HotS is just too late to the market when you have 2 massive MOBAs dominating the market. the game doesn't require any skill at all.. it's all about the team working on victory (see which team is faster). better play out other MOBAs. I've spent my in game purchase credits during Beta on SC2: Heart of the Swarm (they refunded my credits after beta was over).. much better purchase instead of just unlocking a few heroes in Storm. srsly this is not a game... it doesn't train your brain cells.. no competitiveness due to everyone being on the same level playing field (this game has no items! you can't buy items for your heroes! or any way to boost your hero! this is not MOBA at all??!). Play Dota 2.. much better game, free 2 play and you have all heroes to use from the start! grind for in-game cosmetic items, then sell on Steam store to get some other games? Nice win-win for Valve and players. This post has been edited by Davidtcf: Oct 17 2014, 03:51 PM |

QUOTE(FatHuntresS @ Oct 22 2014, 08:23 PM) Hi Tarva, might be abit late to reply. but its definitely worth a download. At first when i first try the game, i quit after 1 day. but after going back and giving it a 2nd chance, the game gets better when you get to team with players whom you already know instead of just queing alone and playing at a higher tier. This is a very non-toxic game compared to dota since everyone shares the creep experience and being at the same Level. My interest level from 1 out of 10 jumped into 8/10 after playing for sometime, and now its at max after playing for some time you'll understand what we meant... now you masih baru masih fresh feeling hehehe ... The F2P model isnt that bad in this game, alot of players are actually buying the heroes/skins/bundles. they are making money, a company needs to make profit to survive its just supply and demand. and i'll say i dont mind paying for this game. Gold is grindy but im sure they will improve it since there are many complains bout it. its much more fast paced, a game can just end in less than 8 mins. i really enjoy these short yet sometime long game play depending on how skilled and the strategies that your team adopt. Im a long time dota/LoL players and i will never go back to them after trying HOTS out for sometime, dota is just too slow paced for me now i just enjoy a getting into a game, brawling in a fast paced environment instead of just farming Also about the bs opinions about this game not needing any skill, do you seriously believe that this game doesnt need any skill? Lol. sometimes i just laugh off reading these comments. Anyways, Enjoy! Definitely worth a try! go ahead and buy a few heroes and play further .. will help you understand the game better. Weekly hero rotation will also let you taste different heroes each week. However, I suggest not to use any real cash to get anything yet till you're very sure what you're getting into. For me they are all the same, yet noticeably some heroes are better than the rest altho same class. Without items everyone is almost on equal footing. Choosing your skilltree after leveling up will impact the outcome la.. this is the only place where if you wanna imply there's "skill" required? (most of the time is that same level up skilltree that is the best for a hero.. using others may reduce your team's chance of winning as your hero is less efficient). Sticking to your team is always a must known "Skill" as well lol... I've tried out many la: E.T.C, Muradin, Tyrael, Brightwing, Tyrande, Uther, Abathur, Zagara, Kerrigan, Diablo, Raynor, Zeratul, Malfurion, Sgt. Hammer, Tassadar, Arthas, Chen, all during beta/alpha times.. so I'm not criticizing without first played lots of it. Don't believe is up to you.
