User don't display at that re-solution smile.gif
Suppose user select 1600x900 (HD+) (which is that QHD / 2 ), the screen will look very nice as it has more "pixels" to take care of that resolution.
(just like the MacBook Retina display, it support 2880x1800, but I doubt anyone actually running it at that resolution smile.gif )

W8 is more optimized for touch~
But touchscreen doesn't work that well for normal (non-convertible) notebooks sad.gif

Inspiron 15 7000, i5-4200U + Intel HD4400 + (1366x768; Touch) @RM2899[2.6kg], 6GB, 750GB(5400rpm), W8SL, backlit keyboard, 58Whr
Inspiron 15 7000, i7-4500U + Nvidia GT750M (GDDR5) + (1920x1080; Touch)@RM3599[2.6kg], 8GB, 1TB(5400rpm), W8SL, backlit keyboard, 58Whr

XPS 15, i5-4200H + Intel HD 4400 + (1920x1080; Touch)@RM4999 [2.0kg], 8GB, 32GB mSATA + 500GB(5400rpm), W8.1SL, backlit keyboard, 61Whr
XPS 15, i7-4202HQ + GT750M (GDDR5) + (3200x1800; Touch)@RM6299 [2.0kg], 16GB, 32GB mSATA + 1TB (5400rpm), W8.1SL, backlit keyboard, 61Whr

weight is a consideration (2kg vs 2.6kg). XPS 15 has carbon fibre base, more solid and light.
silicon palm rest (more comfy). AC wireless (future proof).
Also has the 32GB mSATA (actually quite cheap sweat.gif ), which should make it more responsive (but putting a 256G SATA SSD in Inspiron 15 7000 is better laugh.gif )
screen has better resolution (for comparative CPU).
More powerful CPU (i5 vs i5, i7 vs i7)

Btw, since Dell Malaysia don't give us the full SSD spec for XPS 15, which come with 91Whr battery, with current spec, the Inspiron 15 7000 will have longer battery runtime.

walao, only 3599 for the same GPU, the only difference is screen and i7. mSata doesnt really count, RAM doesnt really.

slimness and weight is the main thing then

Not really. You can get a GT750M laptop at RM3k or cheaper.

Selling points of the XPS 15 is the 1800p display and 2kg weight
