Hi guys these are my redline mushkin rams, I'm planning to paint the heatsinks in white. What type of sprays I should use? And is there any downside painting them in white?

i believe normal paint will do.

I'm afraid if you paint it, it doesn't transfer the heat well...

But I dun think ram run that hot right? The reason I wanted it white is to match my build :/

Can paint it, but better leave the inside surface unpaint....

yea I think most probably use take to tape the gap and just paint outside

better remove the sink from the ram before painting

yup I'll remove the ram first then the place where we put the ram I'll seal it with tape so the paint wont go in. That should be ok I guess?

have you ever touch RAM without heatsink when they are operating? it is hot, yes hot.. if u still wanna repaint your heatsink, i'll suggest you to buy the paint that is heat resistant.. otherwise, the paint might peel off after some time.. or it might produce some burnt smell or worst case scenario the paint got melt up and might damage your CPU.. just be careful and take some precaution.. if you can spare few bucks, buy another ram heatsink.. just the heatsink only.. spray it with your desired colour and use it with your RAM for some time and see the outcome.. if nothing is going wrong, then only spray the mushkin heatsink..

woot. that new u can paint heatsink. i scared it wont be as affective
