Two questions:

1. Which order do you take in meeting the other's parents? BF meets GF's parents first, or GF meets BF's parents first?
2. How long do you date before first meeting of his/her parents?
*
1. Strategic move, shall be by female - GF's parent first.
2. Immediately within the first few weeks.

It is an under utilize strategic move by the modern family (from female family's point of view).

It is to gauge how serious the male candidate is into you.
If he is serious, he will find way to make it.
If he is responsible, he will find way to make it.
If he make it, it implies behind him, there is a strong support / family foundation.

Whereas, those male who dare not to turn up,
He is not serious,
He dare not to shoulder responsible,
Low self esteem, it implies he have no family support.

If after visit the female house, do the male side invite the female back to visit the male family within the short interval?
Yes or no has a lot of meaning behind.
Yes = the male really like you,
The male is courage enough to shoulder the responsibility,
It may implies the male has the support & strong place within the family.

By letting the male candidate visit female's parent or grandparent (very important), the female's family old man may assess the credibility of the male candidate. Old ppl can foresee ppl fate far way ahead by a single look. They are able to gauge the credibility & words of the male. See today what is his view on certain issue. Next meeting, the old man can bring up similar topic to the male candidate, see what is his view on the same issue. The consistent or inconsistent perception tell a lot on the male characters.

How many 3~5 years a girl can waste? wait until stable & ready to marriage then only meet ?
What if the female ok but the family not ok after that? restart another cycle of 3~5 years? That is a sure way to lose your youth.
