I've read many credit card for oversea spending but as I have only about 62K income per annum, not qualified for those signature, world, premier cards...
any other better alternative cards for my income status for oversea spendings?

All credit cards are usable at overseas.
As long as you have one, you're set. It has nothing to do with your income versus spending at overseas.

I know all credit card can be used overseas but there are some better card for better values such as better cash back, better insurance better service, better miles, better conversion etc
If you know what I mean...

Yes .. I know what you mean.
Earn those cards. The senior folks and including myself started from just a basic card to where we are now. Back then the qualifier for Gold and let alone Platinum were extremely high. Times have changed but it doesn't mean you can just get a certain type of card if you don't qualify for it.

Those premium cards expect you to spend. For example MBB VI requires you to spend RM50K a year to get a AF waiver which is RM800 per year. Waiver req is non negotiable. I'm not belittling you but your income is RM62K per year. Can you afford to spend 80% of your income just so that you get a better credit card ?

It wouldn't be practical but it's your money after all. Go ahead if it makes you happy but I would strongly suggest against such an idea.

I reiterate ... earn those cards and this is not a place to suggest or ask for backdoor irresponsible stuff.

(I'm waiting for my fan club to come in and say I got no right to advise against it. It's my right to suggest a responsible answer.)

just to get things straight, I AM NOT looking to get these premiere cards now for oversea spending, merely asking for any gold or platinum that tailored for oversea spending, at least I know bringing a clear card or petronas card to oversea is not going to get me anything compare to maybank 2 card, some platinum card gives free insurance, free lounge entry (with terms), better point collections etc while spending overseas.

I may never get those premiere card but to get a BETTER card to spend a nice DIY holiday is what I am hoping now.

Bro, you qualify for Maybankard 2 Cards AMEX - fantastic cash back on weekends, and better miles conversion.

Having said the above, from member's posts here at CC Section, if you want lower foreign exchange rate can consider AEON or AmBank credit cards.

Just inform the credit card issuer you are going overseas to avoid any rejects. And I note from other thread you mentioned you only have one card, better to hold credit cards from 2 different issuers just in case AND my advise is that your credit card has the same name as your passport - I was told by my previous StanChart Relationship Manager, who holds a SCB Visa Infinite, she could not use her SCB VI when she wanted to buy a handbag in Europe (can't remember which country) because the name of her card is different from that in her passport (she used her English+ Surname only which is not in her IC or passposrt).
sevendogz, the advice from Human Nature above is the best advise anyone can give for people traveling overseas. Always get third party travel insurance from an agent in your town. You get to claim for damage luggage too and most travel insurance also covers hospitalization.

Few years back, my second son had to go to the emergency ward in California while holidaying with my dad because of food poisoning, and the bill (outpatient) was more than USD1K! My dad paid the bill with his credit card and when he returned, he submitted the bill and was reimbursed in full.
You are my sifu who taught me about airmiles and I'm your No.1 fan  biggrin.gif

Your post are facts and one can learn from them if they practice critical reading.

thanks for all these advise, as I am still learning and will continue to learn from all great sifu around
I should have state my questions in a clearer picture to prevent any misunderstandings, cheerz

I have bought the tickets using wife's Citibank Platinum and there is insurance covered for the trip but I wonder is it just ONLY for the principle card holder for covering the whole family (whose air tickets was bought using the same card)? If not, I will need to buy insurance for the 3 of us excluding my wife...

3 years ago: the insurance provider under citibank is Ace Jerneh and it covers Citibank Cardmembers and their spouses and dependent children (where applicable). Cal; up citibank to get the recent terms.
