Hi,

I would like to apply for CC (my first time) and I don't know which one is the best.

Purpose :
- Make purchases for items such as kitchen appliences, electronic items/ device where each items are around 3k to make payments to be converted into installemnt around 6 month - 2 years max (is it possible?).
- will make purchase only once / twice a year unless got emergency.

Then I saw this : http://www.citibank.com.my/english/existin...members-epp.htm

1. Is it okay to apply for choice credit card (Citibank) and proceed with the easy pay method? Im interested on it because they mentioned that 0% on installment for selected vendors up to 2 years. If no, suggest me any.

2. What other costs / precautions i need to know when applying CC to avoid being cheated / fraud?

3. As for self-employed, how long will it takes to process the card?

4. If purchases has been made, the installment will have to be paid to the credit card according to the date of purchase isn't?

5. Is it possible to make early settlement?

6. About the GST, do I need to make payment upon application or upon approval or upon the first purchase?

Sorry for the noob question. It's my first time tho.

QUOTE(victorywp @ Nov 6 2013, 03:15 PM)
1) you have to make sure whether the merchant in which you would like to purchase your kitchen appliances and electronic items/devices from, were in the list of participating citibank epp merchants: http://www.citibank.com.my/english/docs/pd...rchant_list.pdf

2) you need to check whether there is any annual fees or how to waive the annual fees.

3) usually 2 weeks to 1 month (some only takes 1 hour or 1 day).

4) once purchase is made, you will need to pay the first installment within 20 days from your statement date.

5) yes, but need to inform the cs first.

6) gst will be charged to your first statement once your card is approved.

Thanks for the reply. And yes the merchant is on the list. Do you have any CC product that you would suggest?
