Hi guys, want to ask which card is more suitable for me to get cashback? I spend only RM200 monthly on petrol, no grocery etc. Don't really have other expenses....
I calculated if I get the maybank amex card, 5% cashback on weekends. RM200 x 5% = RM10 x 12 = RM120 - RM100 (service tax) = RM20
UOB card: RM200 x 5% = RM10 x 12 = RM120 - RM50 (service tax) = RM70 (but UOB cashback is only for BHP? )
Clearly UOB is a better choice compare to others right? Is there anything else that I need to know? 60 swipes to get annual fee waived isnt a problem I think, means I just need to pump petrol 5 times a month. I read before saying "uob set allocation of rm900k cb ", what does this mean? Is there any other better cards that will probably suit my needs?

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Sep 12 2014, 08:25 PM) If you are looking solely for a petrol cashback card, you may have a look at Maybank Ikhwan card. UOB card has quota for its petrol cashback (this is what i understand from the UOB thread). This? but there is no cashback for this card, purely treatpoints based. https://ringgitplus.com/en/credit-card/Mayb...press-Gold.html

QUOTE(victorywp @ Sep 12 2014, 08:43 PM) mbb ikhwan has 5% for petrol on friday and saturday. platinum: http://www.maybank2u.com.my/mbb_info/m2u/p...sonal/CRD-Cardsgold: http://www.maybank2u.com.my/mbb_info/m2u/p...sonal/CRD-Cardsuob 900k allocation for all petrol station (bhp can get 5%+2%) but usually finished by 13th of a month. so after that you get 0% already (or 2% for bhp). I see, if thats the case then UOB I guess roughly divide RM120 by 2, I get around RM70 - RM50 = RM20 yearly. Seems like mbb is a better choice then. Thanks.

Want to ask, recently I applied for credit card. Got my card already (first time user ). So I went to petronas today to pump petrol using the card. My question is how do I set the fixed amount I want to pump instead of full tank? I put the card in, verify, take out, put mesra card in & take out then it ask me to start fueling. It never prompt me any option for my desire amount Then the receipt charge me RM13x (but the pump said RM41, so I am guessing they will refund the balance later)

QUOTE(victorywp @ Oct 12 2014, 09:17 PM) the fixed amount need to be set at another keypad at the machine (not the same with cc keypad). are you sure the receipt belongs to you or the person before you? I see, didnt know that. Umm not so sure, left the receipt in my car. Why would it be someone else receipt? Shouldn't it be mine since after I fill only it print the receipt? Not so sure, first time paying using the pump, normally I just pay by cash

QUOTE(victorywp @ Oct 12 2014, 10:45 PM) some people forgotten to take their receipt and the next person didn't realise there's a receipt there before start pumping. after finished pumping they thought the receipt was theirs. not sure whether it's your case. it's better for you to check the cc details on the receipt and call the cs to lodge a dispute as soon as possible (if the receipt really belongs to you). perhaps you still can get a refund after their investigation. if you do nothing, you will not receive any refund if you only pump rm41 but the receipt shows rm130. When I pump there wasn't any receipt. I see, ok will check the receipt. So far there is no statement when I check in m2u, maybe they will update it tomorrow
