QUOTE(moon yuen @ Oct 31 2013, 10:07 PM) The CXXB call centre called me .... Offering me RM200 cash rebate upon 3X swipe within 60 days.. I agreed. Good thing is, they acknowledge the RM200 conversation. I advice you to get the name of the staff and get it recorded if possible. After that, file a complain to higher division, and if it is still being ignored, to BNM.After I received the card, I called the CXXB call centre to double confirm the rebate. She confirmed it & activate it. Almost immediately after I put off the phone , she call me back and told me no such promotion and advice me not to swipe the card. I filed numerous complaint via CXXB official website and phone. And they told me they will handle the case promptly. 2 days back, I received CXXB card statement to pay RM50 GST. I call CXXB call centre again, They said got listen the past conversation of RM200 the staff mentioned, but the staff haven't reply them yet ... It have been more than 3 weeks! What should I do ?? 1) should I pay the govt tax by due date ? 2) should I complain to Bank Negara now, I m worry even I win, I still need to pay GST .... 3) I was cheated ! How to detect b4 it happen ? Thanks |

If I have an autobilling with Astro, will I still receive the monthly bill?
And I terminate my card, do I need to notify Astro, or I can just pay according to the monthly bill using another card? |

QUOTE(Garroth @ Jan 3 2014, 08:23 AM) If I have already have an ongoing application with Maybank at one branch, can I go to the other branch and apply the same credit card or ask them to follow up on my application? You can re-submit your application through email or fax direct to the card center, not necessary to go through branch. Since the old application is not complete, it will not be processed. For good measure, write a letter to the guy that your old application is considered null and void.I applied at the Queensbay Mall Maybank weeks ago where I completed the forms and one of the officers verified my forms and helped me to submit but when I called in to ask, the bank said documents was incomplete, turns out some important parts of the forms were left unfilled. So I tried to get in touch with this guy again but he is on leave half the time and the other staffs would not really help me to follow up on that. Got really fed up with the service at this branch and really want to change to other bank but one of the officers told me it can't be done, does anyone of you have simialr experiences? |

I have just made one reservation through booking.com and it only requested the credit card number and expiry date. It is stated that the credit card is only used as a guarantee and not for immediate payment.
Few minutes later, I received an email from booking.com that the hotel is not able to process my credit card to secure my reservation. QUOTE Please take one of these two actions: To use the same card: Contact your credit card provider to make sure that your card is active, has sufficient funds, and is valid for international online transactions. Then reenter the card details here. To use another card: Provide alternative card details by clicking here. Please make sure that the alternative card is active, has sufficient funds, and is valid for international online transactions. While I am pretty sure I have entered my credit card details correctly the first time, I give it benefits of doubt and selected the first option, which is to reenter my card details. This time, I have to enter my credit card number, name and also the CVC code. I am curious on why they need the CVC code for the second time, but not during the initial reservation? |

QUOTE(1234_4321 @ Feb 9 2014, 06:25 PM) Sorry, not sure the question should be post here or not. May refer here:Just curious to the credit card debt, How the bank going to collect the credit card debt if the card holder is passed away? His children/family members need to responsible for the card holder debt? When signing up the credit card, there's no guarantor, So where will the bank get the debt from? Let's assume the debt is large amount like 30-40K, previously only pay 5% interest every month. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...59243&hl=estate |

QUOTE(Mikeshashimi @ May 10 2014, 11:25 AM) Just wanna ask sifus here. You are ready to start your journey with CC I've always been against CCs. Why? Coz I don't like to live on other peoples' money, per se. But then I read on the positives of a CC, the rebate, cashback and whatnot. Am I right by thinking that I should get a CC coz I can get cashback and rewards. And at the same time I can still pay the amount on time without any charges, therefore, I'd be making a saving and getting rewards. Hmm.. thanks for any feedback. |

QUOTE(Mikeshashimi @ May 10 2014, 11:36 AM) Lol. That's mighty reassuring. Make sure you understand the features of the card, read from the website and go to the 1st page of the specific threads here. Do read up the 1st post of this thread too. If still not sure, post your question.I'm not too well versed on some perks and rewards. But for example when some say "X% cashback (per month)", and "zero monthly/annual fees for X times swiped a month". What I was always worried about was the monthly/annual fees, I know it is small but I don't want to be paying for something I won't be using. But recently I think, I can always use it for petrol payments (2 times a month minimum). So the other may be used for say, online purchases. Maybe I need to sit down with Banks and see what they can offer. Anything I should take note of when considering a particular Bank's CC offering? There are many cards with zero annual fee or waiver with swipe condition. Do take note that there is a GST of RM50 for each principal card and RM25 for supplementary card/ Try to make a post here for recommendations: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2979093 Most important is see which card will suit your spending. |

QUOTE(candysiew @ May 15 2014, 04:05 PM) you mean getting both hong leong + maybankard(2 cards) are better than the two that i currently having, correct? for maybank 2 cards, you only need to pay one RM50 GSTi'm more swiping more on groceries, petrol, insurance and some online buying/intallment.... if getting both mean i wil have 3 government fee to pay right per year unless it can be waived = RM150. |

QUOTE(candysiew @ May 16 2014, 11:41 AM) i usually spend about RM1k for my CC,some time less sometime more... sounds like a good plan. very similar to my set up however, about RM350/month is for 2 different insurance premium. since insurance can't use amex(i read from some posts), maybe i can combined aeon watami to auto charge the premium and some weekdays dining to aeon watami, and the rest(petrol, groceries, dining etc) use maybank amex card mostly for the weekend 5%.... hence, the above could be my best choice? thanks for very helpful insights everyone |

QUOTE(victorywp @ May 23 2014, 10:50 AM) not really, if your income qualifies for a certain loan capacity (and you are still within the range) and your payment records are good, it won't affect. okay thanks. so having too many cards will not reduce the amount of loans eligibility.however, it will somehow affect on your next cc application (rather than on car/housing loan) bcs you showed your desperation to get cc. so far no problem with applying for more card |
