i try DSR calculator . i get 34% .... what does this mean?

the lower the better... because dsr is to show how much you use your income to service your debt installments.

Where to get this DSR calculations app? Anyone know where to dl?
*
dsr calculator is just a rough guide only, because different bank have their own credit guidelines which differs greatly from one to another.

Oic. Tot got the apps can try itself
*
you can try as a rough guide but not all bank follow the same credit guidelines, which is why one bank may reject your application but another bank approve it.

Anyone have both public bank conventional credit card and public bank islamic credit card?

Can share whether public bank offer separate credit limit or combine credit limit for conventional bank credit card and islamic bank credit card ?
*
although i didn't own both, but i would say both are separate cl. first reason is because conventional and islamic have always been a separate entity. second because mbb's and rhb's confirmed separate.

I asking credit limit, no asking which cc worth to try.

Since u asking me this question. Let me ask bsck u the same question, Is there any rhb islamic cc worth to try?
*
the way you ask about pbb conventional cc and pbb islamic cc have separate cl or not, means that you are either holding a pbb islamic cc or considering to apply for it, no? that's why i'm just asking if there's a good one, perhaps i may try and let you know, since you are waiting here for an answer.

the rhb islamic cc i applied for was to get the samsonite backpack earlier, and now some said can use it for free set meal at klia green market. its features don't really attractive though.

*
when i signed up my rhb plat, i received xiaomi powerbank 10,400mah on the spot. then the person asked me to sign up another rhb islamic travel money and swipe once (any amount) for each cc (after receiving and activate the cards) to be entitled for a samsonite backpack. not sure still available now or not. forgotten when i signed up already, you may check the rhb thread.

QUOTE(simonhtz @ Jun 8 2015, 11:05 AM)
Hi guys,

Here's my situation. Need your advice what would be next card to go apply/cancel.

Currently holding and using it for:-

1. MBB 2 card AMEX: phone bills are assigned here. I'm using AMEX whenever I can. By the way, I lost the other second card (Master) if I'm not wrong.

2. HSBC Amanah Platinum Cashback card: I'm using this whenever merchant does not accept AMEX.

3. OCBC Cashback Platinum: I'm using this whenever merchant does not accept AMEX and my insurance monthly repayment are tied to this card.

I'm looking forward to maximize my cash back. What would be the best combination of cards out there? Should I cancel HSBC/OCBC cards and change to something else?

Looking forward to hear from you guys. Cheers.
*
for wider range of categories cashback, you may cancel your hsbc and ocbc, and replace with cimb cr and uob one. you may also consider aeon watami if your expenses is above rm1k per month.

any idea roughly the maximum amount of credit limit given an individual? for example the total of credit limit regardless of number of credit cards - 10x of salary?
*
QUOTE(alexanderclz @ Jun 8 2015, 10:10 PM)
I mean accumulative credit.

Bank A - 2x
Bank B - 3x
Bank C - 1.5x
*
it depends on your commitments including other loans. my accumulative cl of all my cc already over 20x of my salary. itu pun because i got many other car/house loans which already amounted to over rm1juta+... uncle hutang keliling punggung (dah terlalu berat untuk pinggang support).

Hi boss, just curious.

Would it be a bad sign for banks if I apply for several cards at the same time?

I am not in debt, just wanna utilize more cards for cashbacks and benefits.

All my current cards are fully settled before statement date every month and I don't have any car loan and any form of liability.

What I earn is what I get every month after deductions to EPF/etc.
*
no problem if you just apply few cards around the same time, but not intended to apply for loans soon afterwards too.
if cc rejected, it's not a problem for you because you just lose the cb/benefits of using the cc.
but if your loans were rejected means you can't proceed with your car/house purchase (which will be messy if you already paid downpayment for it).

Self-insured now, operation@IJN, currently holds MBB2, PBB-VS, HLwise, CitiPM, CIMB-MC-Plat, RHB-MC-Plat, Watami, Aeon-Gold, OCBC-MC-Blue and HSBC-Amanah.
*
watami is a must. not sure whether ijn accept amex? if yes, that's your 2nd choice.

do you have ge insurance policy? if yes, you may convert your blue card to ge card before payment. but not sure you can delay payment until you receive your ge card or not. if can, this is your 3rd choice.

if 2nd and 3rd options can't, just use watami also good as it still offers 0.4% points to cash in direct conversion.

Will use rm5000 on Watami. IJN accepts MBB2Amex, so 5xTP equivalent to 1.25%CB? OCBC GE card earns 1%CB without capping? Thanks victorywp. Any other choice?
*
oh ya, ocbc ge card got 1k capping. but since ijn accepts amex, so you just use 5k with watami and the balance with mbb2amex la which tp equivalent to 1.25% cash voucher value.

Hi, 2 or 3 months ago, I applied UOB credit card, but there is no news or no one calling me regarding the CC application, so I assumed it is not approved and already apply for other bank CC ( and obtained it extremely fast within one week)

The problem is, UOB jz sent me the CC which I dont want anymore.
Can I jz ignore the card without activating it? will it charge me annual fee although i didnt activate? or i need to call them to cancel the card?

( I never receive any UOB call/ email/ sms so far)
*
how do you applied earlier? by online?

how did they sent the cc to you? by courier?
