yes, both stanchart and ocbc are using MBF pay service, so both can use cc to pay cukai tanah and pintu

oh i see... so how to do it? pay via the counter of ptg? and/or via online?

in previous years i paid my assessment bills via counters at mbmb and mbsa with cc.
but for quit rent, i checked the back of the paper statement doesn't state that payment using cc is available as an option.
so all the while i just paid together with my assessment bills but have to use cash because pejabat tanah dan galian melaka and pejabat tanah dan galian selangor are not related to mbmb/mbsa. sad.gif
anyway, quit rent is smaller amount than assessment. biggrin.gif

I haven't been to Melaka PTD offices for years so don't know. But if you go to PTD offices in Selangor, can pay quit rent with credit cards at the cashier. But you are right, quit rent small amount for residential so may be waste of time to go there.

You consder it managable? Compared to waiting for 4 months and not paying RM78 (even earning a few cents on interest)? Bad financial management that way.

Paying interest is so that you can get a benefit. For example loans to start business or to purchase a property which increases in value. Or loan for a car so that you can get to work.

Then you can evaluate whether the 1%/2%/6% is worth the time, petrol, and parking fee =)

i want to use credit card to buy a smartphone, most of the phone shop tell me they will charge 3% if i use credit card. Is this legal? If they charge my card already for 3%, can i ask bank to cancel the 3% only?

The only thing is to report this to the bank.

Alternative is to buy from telco or merchants like Harvey Norman, Machine, Switch etc.

did you take any loan(s) before?
if no loans and no cc before, they can't track your payment records.
