How should I answer during interview, guide me ....

Hi guys, I have a minor problem around. Could you guide me please, here is my situation.
I am working for company X who is a recruiting company. They assigned me to one big factory and I am a contract worker. In order to terminate the contract, I have to give 3 months notice and currently I have been working for 1 week plus. Recently, I was called up for the interview at company Y. I definately have to tell them that I am working for X. What if they ask, why I leave X and choose Y? How should I answer? If there's any doubt or unclear information, please do inform me. Thanks

So you planning to leave X after working for just a week ? What's your plan actually. By answering that, I think we can give you a better advice.

Normally, I'll answer this with a valid reason (no bullshits); eg. current company is a temporary job, exploring different challenges/working enviroment and such. It depends on you, yourself on why are you leaving your current company for a new one. Don't have to worry on what they are going to ask you next because all they want to do is to evaluate your characteristic from the point you've given.

yes, my current company is temporary job because it's contract based. But definately need to give more precise reason why I need to leave the current company. I am afraid they will ask more ...

As I said, you have to tell why are you leaving based on your own reason. Is it because of higher pay? Or the new company offering permanent job? Or they are offering the job that you studied in your uni days?

Personally, I believe the benefits will be given more to the permanent worker than a contract worker. Right ? Not only that, now Im doing 2nd level IT support for my current company, but I wanna fully utilize my MCSE i got ..... How should I say ?

Well, I guess your answer could touch on permanent basis work as well as the utilising what you have studied. That's all I could think of.

At times, the new company will pay compensation to your current one if they want you badly (for some reasons). However, I can't answer you that question because I have never encounter one before. Probably other forummers over here might able to help you on that. 3 months is quite long, I would say because normally companies required one month notice from employees.

If the company really wants you, they can wait for 3 months, there was times when my previous company waited for 3 months just to employ a new employee. It might be because of the scarcity of the skillset that the person had. In my opinion, if the new company is willing to buy you out, it is always good to negotiate with them to let u serve at least 1-2 weeks (if it is urgent) notice so that you can handover your current tasks properly, this will create a good impression to the new employer that you are a responsible person and you will do you best to avoid disrupt the operation of a company.
