Those getting 2nd issue watch out for the QC on the paint job esp those black panel lines around the wheels.

Difference between DB5 with issue 3 and 6 is that issue 3's car is the one with ejected passenger seat, hence the hole in the roof. Issue six is with the extended tyre slasher on the rear wheel.

you are right, not just the black lines, the white body itself also seen some defects / paint chips.
I went through 6 copies at popular and managed to find the best one. This is also the reason i dont want it subscribe and delivered to my house, I cant choose it myself.

omg they cut out alot of the cars then. say 50 + issues within 2 years we can complete the collection.

you are right, but at the same time some cars are not found anywhere else as a scale model. so maybe worth it.
RM30 each for a licensed movie product is good pricing to me. The diorama really add a lot of display value to it.

both little nellie and tank dont have a case or diorama
only the renault with a case and diorama

judging by our local version of the magazine...they only choose those car from newer bond movie and those that are more famous...
but then again the tuk tuk?? aiyo doh.gif

nope, you cant choose whichever issues u want ...it means your subs start from whatever number you want and end after the 8 issues

example like mine start from no3 and end at no10,
and after that issue 10 im free to continue buy from them or wait bookshop to have it

as for me...i aim for the half renault only from the free gift
but little nellie is nice too if you see the actual model yourself

the tank is sux lol

I'm more interested to see if the James Bond figurine looks like Sean Connery or not... tongue.gif

But yeah, if headlights can open or even if it's fixed in open position, would be even greater. Since the diorama scene is night time.

I am wondering the Tanks collection. are major bookstores and convenient shop still carrying them? cause I dont see them anymore.
The reason I ask is that if retail only bring in the initial few copies, we will be forced to subscribe later on. hmm.gif

since you will get the same car again on issues 6
so this one will have open rooftop as the diorama is from goldfinger's factory chase after he ejected the henchmen out

i've seen a few places la, 1U only have 1 issue 2 left, many issue 1 & 3, only popular & mph has them, those news stand/magazine store doesn't sell.

the thing is issue 2 has many QC issue, so you'll probably have to go tru 5-10 of them before finding the better one.

issue 3 is not sunroof la it's a hole. if sunroof not too bad.

Actually I love issue 3 more than issue 6,
cuz the diorama is cool. Issue 6 juz run on the road.
but 3 look full function looking after battle,
and the 6 is for good looking.
if really like it, juz collect both of them. rclxms.gif

just asking..when you buy from thier office, can choose or not?

heard some cars got quality issue.

if buy from mph or popular..i can choose until satisfy with the condition.

hope the office staff don't just take the items from below the counter and not give you any option to choose the cars sad.gif

U can choose from the box they put in the office but mainly is latest issue. If they had move it into warehouse, then u can only request her to change for u if u found any defect or not sastify with the condition.

For Issue 2 memang susah find good car, coz it's white, any defects is easily noticeable, then the case also some are scratched or cracked.

no...8 issues means you need to buy 8 issues to get the free gift

like your case since you already have issues 3 meaning you need to buy issues 4 until 11

They used courier service, sometimes GDEX, sometimes Skynet, ABX etc. If you're not at home, they will call/ or leave a notes. The best courier imo is Yamato, because they can delivered at night, and you can actually request time for re-delivery.

I believe is same, since the diorama base and prop card picture are the same.

But I might just get the damaged version, since the Casino Royale one is a perfect car. laugh.gif

"Models from 'Casino Royale' (except issue 100) and 'Quantum of Solace' have been neglected miniature figures, even if the scene in which they are depicted requires one."

sorry but the Jaguar is the most iconic James Bond car in history, then DB5 then Lotus.

The BMW Z is probably the least iconic James Bond car.

Jaguar? hmm.gif

But we're talking about the general James Bond fans. They regard the DB5 as the car that defined subsequent James Bond rides and the Lotus as the "most iconic" in the franchise.

you don't need to keep using the same line of cars to make it popular & iconic.

Aston martin gets the most exposure due to them willing to chuck out the biggest amount of money.

From my understanding, iconic is something that 'relates', means that when said 'bond car' the first thing that comes to mind of many is Aston Martin.

Ya, iconic mean relate most.
when we talk about Aston Martin, mean Bond Car.
Aston Martin = English (British) car.

do determine the james bond issue number by referring at the back of the magazine. look at the barcode area & refer to short vertical barcode line with the upper 2 digit number ( number at the top of the short barcode line) that the magazine number.

About DBS, u mean that classic damaged DBS rite?
If yes, it actually over at Issue 3.

For any back issue you can actually try ask AllScript office,
call them: +603-80207112 / +603-80207122 / +603-80207312
or e-mail them: ambika@allscript.com.my (this need long wait sometime)

Any near by local book store or 7-11 have a ask if they did keep some back issue.
If all tried and didn't get any of it, then good luck for here wait for any collector let go their collection.

Good Luck then. smile.gif

Sorry guys, need to update the info again...
About last time I show the pic of damaged DBS ver.3 have Daniel Craig inside,
actually that was a fan made custom... not official of Eaglemoss production... sweat.gif
If you all don't mind have a look more pics of fan make done on the DBS, check the spoiler.
BTW it mean most of the collector is disappointed DBS didn't have James Bond inside. sweat.gif

That's some really good custom there!

I'm also disappointed that Daniel Craig is not in his car. Makes it looks like his cars are auto-pilot. Maybe Daniel does not want his face to appear in the cars. sweat.gif

May be cuz Daniel Craig is new and still on filming James Bond,
so copyright royaltys need a lot of payment.
So may be that why Daniel Craig figure didn't appear.
