when you go buy something, if the cashier give u extra change, u diam-diam or give back the extra to the cashier?

just now went to buy rice, RM3.30, i gave RM10, the person give me back change of RM7.70, then i think of a while dunno want to diam diam or give him back the extra RM1. Finally i give him back. 

rm3.30 + rm7.70 is rm 10

This thing kind of remind me a story. My father is a doctor. Someone who has money, mature and good personality..a perfect old man.
