I doubt you'd want a Jolly Honedge, those things are best kept slow so they can change into Attack Mode without being attacked first then King's Shield into Defense Mode the next turn. Brave would work best for it.

When Aegislash enters battle it's already in Defense Forme ready to take a hit.
So first turn enemy attack, take minimal damage in defense, then transform to Attack Forme and hit the enemy hard. Next turn, Aegislash is still in Attack Forme. If can secure a kill Shadow Sneak, otherwise use King's Shield to protect from damage (King's Shield has priority so it'll turn into Defense Forme again before attacking).
When in Defense Forme can try to Swords Dance first too.

Pretty sure Scyther is on Route 21, same place as Altaria and stuff.

The other fossils from previous games become accessible after beating the Elite Four, same place you find the Old Amber (rock smash Glittering Cave). You could just trade on GTS though.

Dayum, EV training got amped this generation. It's even faster than Super Training, takes 5 minutes to max a stat by fighting hordes with Exp Share + Power Item + Pokerus, about 50-60EVs per horde.

Hordes are guaranteed with Honey or a Sweet Scent Pokemon. You can follow this guide if you wanna try.

Does nature really matter for Impostor Ditto?
I know you should at least max its HP EVs but other than HP Impostor's going to copy every other stat the enemy has anyway.

Maybe it's just the plug being incompatible region?

Ditto safari hunting? I just put a weak Pokemon in front with Smoke Ball (If you're looking for specific nature then put something like Ralts with Synchronize and the same nature Ditto you're looking for) then throw Quick Ball terus. Smoke Ball since the weak Pokemon in front always get in trouble trying to run away from other wild Pokemon. If fail then the Ditto transforms into the harmless Pokemon then switch to Scyther to False Swipe it to 1HP.
