Guys, sorry if it has been asked before, but like to ask

Today I did a RM100 topup. They suggested me to get the Valentines card since I topup RM100 to purchase 5 drinks. Hence now I have balance in my old card and new card. To maximize the benefits, should I register the new card in a new email and transfer over my previous balance ? Or Should I just add it to my previous account and share benefits. Id just redeem a free drink with my card also, hence now the balance counter should be 0 for drinks.

If I registered my card 2 weeks back, but I have yet to redeem my drink , will it still be applicable ? Or it would be waived ?

Well, in all honestly, if everybody were to purchase a new card at RM30 , is like getting a free drink with every purchase of 2-3 cups of coffee. Its just a promo to get more fans. I guess we can call it we are glitching the system la for doing so in a way would be different story if registering is tagged to phone number or IC.
I think to be fair, the new promo is quite decent. You get a free drink worth RM10-RM13 for a RM100 top up, is like a 10-13% cash back deal d.

Yeah, I agree that they should at least inform the users like 1 month in advance ...
But I guess they did not expect for people who stock them up, or worse made this way

Well, if the Tumbler was built for hot drinks, im good with it. Those metal versions cost a bomb and I cant find any attractive designs yet

Did you not ask the counter on the benefits at that point of time ? If they counter gave you wrong info, you may always speak to the manager, but if you had ASSUMED there will be a free drink regardless, then there is only you yourself to blame for not asking "Assuming" is a dangerous habit in business.
Also as cdspins mention, all promotion have a clause that allows them to modify or remove it WITHOUT prior notice. Imagine if there is a bug error or glitch and they are required to give users a 7 day notice period before they can make changes, wont they be losing thousands or millions ?
Also to add, I do have to agree that our local barista are not like the foreigners. If you dont ask, they do not tell. Thankfully for me the Starbucks I go to commonly in Megan Avenue 2 updated me in February on this issue.
The latest promotion not bad wert, top up RM100, get 1 Grande drink = RM12++ = 12%

IF the barista actually said that, talk to their branch manager and you will get your free drink. I have a friend working in Starbucks Penang, her cafe did gave out free drinks as compensation due to wrong information given.
Personally, Id prefer Coffee Bean over starbucks. But somehow my clients prefer SB to Coffee Bean, hence I have to entertain them la and at least got buy 10 free 1 drink.

PS: Topping up RM100 to gain a Drink is roughly 12% discount/rebate or what ever you can call it. And the card ensures you buy 10 free 1 = 10% discount.
Coffee Bean gives you RM1 -> 5 beans -> RM0.05 -> 5%
San Fransicco Coffee gives you 10% if your Platinium CC and below or 15% if your Signature or world card.
Do the maths, and Im sure if your cheapskate you will know which is the better deal. But by all means if your going to boycott them.

But if you go to San Fran coffee, remember to check your discount, I had once got the error of them giving me 10% instead of 15%

Hang on, I forgot if you bring your own SB tumbler, is another RM2 discount off your drink = 13% - 16% discount Buy their anniversary tumbler at RM33, your ROI comes after 16.5 drinks. 1 week 1 drink = 4 months ~

Another thing I forgot, buying the tumbler gives you a free grande = RM12-RM15 = 40-50% of your tumbler price ?
Taking that into account, RM33 - RM12 = RM21 = 10.5 drives to ROI ~

Seems like the RM100 top up free drink can only be claimed after 24 hours, can anybody verify this ? Was told so as I did another top up this morning.
