Guys, just a word of caution. My note 3 somehow manage to have water seep through into it (was using one of those bumper case). Most likely it was caused by the wet hands of my friends at the beach - taking photos etc. Only realise this after feedback from the service center. It could be turned on but the screen is not, only sound. The worst part is that the bill came to RM1,679.50. Should have just bought a new one.

QUOTE(Cynox @ Oct 14 2013, 09:55 AM) wow... thanks for the head-up, an expensive lesson for you though. Din the SC tell you the estimated repair cost before they proceed? I won't use any of my gadgets near the beach - the sand and the salt water are real killers. That's the worst part. Maybe there was a miscommunication somewhere as I did not receive any info just the call to pick it up and the bill....

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Oct 14 2013, 09:55 AM) So sorry to hear that, this phone is not water resistance or proof, shall be more careful in future. If taking photo is by your request, then you need to take all the cost, if it is insist by your friend, probably you can claim some from him/her. Yes, true. I suspect it was the bumper case that was the main culprit. If it was naked, there will be less chance of water seeping through. Previous note 2 has been handled similarly though with a jelly case. The bumper case may have promoted capillary action for the water as it collects underneath the back cover... therefore if you need to be near water, put the thing in a waterproof pouch.
