Newbie reporting in, was a HTC Desire user for 3.5 yrs before this  biggrin.gif

Does this phone come with software backup tools like Titanium Backup that can backup APK and data as well as scheduling backup?

Welcome. Please add yourself via the form in post 4.

Do read page 1 to familiarise yourself with the device and rooting etc. You are lucky that successful root without tripping the Knox counter was found only in the last 24 hours.

Please read carefully and understand first.

Guys my device shows custom in D/load mode. How to set it to official?
*
Post 8. You need to install Wanam's Xposed module and enable the Fake status.

andrewtst or destEx please provide the link to Xposed and Wanam's module to post in post 8.

Thanks.

I'm still doing some work. Will root after I finish.

Looks like a seriously nice collection of pics....

It occurred to me, that despite having the Knox flag, Samsung doesn't screw around with killing your features unlike some other manufacturers who kill their proprietary features once the bootloader security is tripped.

So Knox is more or less an end user inconvenience.

You jumpered the contacts to the other side?

Please install GCC and report the charging mA.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...rent.free&hl=en

The best reporting is done immediately after you turn on the screen.

BTW why did you remove the enclosure of the coil?

What wire did you use? I have some thin ones....

Are you using only the first 2 contacts on the Note 3 (ie contacts 1 and 2 on the left side where there are 3 contacts) ?

Any comment to One Max?
*
It seems rather meh...even the comments on the announcement posts are saying the same thing.

The fingerprint scanner is an iffy proposition, and it only allows 3 apps customized for launching. Apart from that, it's just a larger One.

Hopefully it will have less issues since it's not unibody aluminum.

The coil and charger do get warm, in fact a bit hot.

Are you a network professional since you have Cat 5e lying around ?

I'm using it for my corporate line now, just for calls, SMS and occasionally WhatsApp with my colleagues. biggrin.gif
Also when my Note 3 is charging or running out of battery. laugh.gif

The only real downside is that now, with the brighter and clearer Note 3 screen, Note 2 simply looks washed out whenever I switch devices....

I'm also using Note 2 for the company line tongue.gif sometime for tethering too.

Just wondering, I have the 1.16GB file from yesterday.

If I

1. download the new RootdelaVega.7z
2. Use the new Odin in this 7z file (since it supports AP and CSC)
3. use the old md5 file to flash (reboot yada yada)
4. use the new CSC file to flash

Will this be fine? Due to my slip of finger I cancelled the download copy dialog....I need to wait another approx 1.5 hours or so for the new 1.98GB file...
