I know, what I meant was anything wrong with the message on boot screen? laugh.gif
*
it's at bootscreen so it is more obvious to any sc personnel that the phone has been messed with. last time need to enter download mode first.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 20 2013, 01:24 AM)
Yeah, the SAMSUNG wording should be silver plated and the whole built just doesn't seem right... hmm.gif
*
silver plating is the origincal cover, the s-view cover no silver plating, i believe that is s-view cover

QUOTE(zaeim66 @ Oct 20 2013, 01:27 AM)

Anybody using pen window manager have this kind of problem?

It seems most of my app when minimise will have shrunk icon

From left, poweramp, whatsapp, playstore, solid explorer

UPDATE: It seems like every app that I have changed the Dpi using App Setting of Xposed Framework  will result to shrunk icon when minimise.

Anybody using Xposed with App Setting and use per app dpi can concur to my theory?
*
yes, i concur to your theory, i noticed this long ago, just didn't know its due to dpi changing.

Want to know what information is store in your passport?

Install NFC Tag Info - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...apps.nfctaginfo

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

After install, goto setup access key by keying your passport number, birth date and expiry date to let the apps check in proper.

For reading passport photo store in your passport NFC, need to additional install the PassportImageDecoder - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...ps.imagedecoder
*
wow cool! going to install it now!

Hi all,

In fact, I did some search on Google before ask here as I can't find the answer yet. Maybe I don't know the correct term to search for... sad.gif

I never use Galaxy Note 2 before, but saw a lot of video regarding S Note, we can roughly draw a circle or square then it automatically converted to a perfect circle or perfect square. Also, we can write on screen and S Note will immediately convert our hand writing into text. Where and how can I get these functions in Note 3?

Many thanks in advance.  smile.gif
*
sadly it doesn't have that automatic feature anymore, now you need to manually circle it then it will convert, it's at the s-note, an icon with dotted lines

so give up now, decided when phone idle, will just plug in to charger
*
what about wakelocks, imo wakelocks have more effects on battery life than those apps

don't think it makes a difference as the PC Odin would have restored the original stuff and removed the Xposed mods. By factory reset, it'll clear all the nonsense
*
nope, waveweaver's steps is the more logical method. the pc-odin flash is a non-wipe rom, thus the data and possibly mods will still be there after you flash with stock firmware and god knows what those data will do, it might even trip knox for all we know, so its better to full wipe first before you flash

a user in de la vega root page 141
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...479952&page=141
tried to go back to stock after he flashed vega root after updating to MJ3, which caused him to get stuck in download mode.

he went unroot with supersu
then flash a stock rom

still trying to find more info, but it's hard since everyone has different csc but the steps should be the same

Just wondering why mine takes so long to read?
It is showing: "Reading tag... Do not remove tag. This may take up to a minute."

Normal? It is more than a minute for me...
*
nope, try again, it took me around 3~5 secs

any good gesture apps to recommend?
don't really like to press the physical buttons (lock off and home button)
want protect them
*
lmt launcher, it says it requires root but i'm sure most of the features do not require it. also u can use swipepad to make a shortcut to the home button and power off button.

also u can go settings>accesibilities>assitant menu

Like that will migrate to Nexus next. Really do need warranty for 2k device.  sad.gif
This thread is a lot less active without custom roms discussion. No fun leh....
*
yea lo, no fun leh, but then again i see the custom roms now all still like nothing new only, no new exciting features and i don't intend to go aosp/aokp/apspa with all the goodies of the samsung stock rom.

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Oct 20 2013, 09:21 PM)
Atleast Note3 is capable to works very well even without any thinkering. And it have SPen as a trump card.
But S4...duhh..with Knox activated..there's no fun at all doh.gif
*
ya samsung goodies in note 3 quite good, unless a super nice feature comes available in custom roms, right now with root is already good enough, someone englighten me a nice feauture that custom rom provides

Android soon to be iOS?
nothing else to configure? laugh.gif
*
nono that's like heaven and earth. the fact that i could theme my notification bar and change dpi itself is a deciding factor between ios and android, in addition to all the awesome apps xda devs are making such as
tasker
automaton
multi window manager
lmt launcher
network connections
BBS
directory bind

and many more that xda publishes in its portal daily

I thought the tracking chip is only for reducing the power required for LTE. If on 3G or 2G its still the same and will lose power faster if the area have bad connection.
*
yea lo, only for LTE, i suspect those having h or h+ disappearing is due to bad signal and the connection keep changing between LTE/H/H+/E

I think it is a Samsung 4.3 feature which currently only Note 3 has. laugh.gif
One of my colleagues is using iPhone 5, his mouth went shocking.gif

But well, I think he doesn't know there are many similar apps in Google Play or Apps Store that perform the same. tongue.gif

rclxms.gif rclxms.gif fantastic indeed, ionstorm is the hero of the day, this feature will be good enough to stun those ipong users laugh.gif
