Recently, i build a new rig, when i used it to play dota2, initially it run very smooth and ping is low, but when after played for an hour, the ping is going high, which i not sure is it the hardware turn heaty, cause my casing blow out that air is heat, then when i turn on the air cond, the ping will drop back again to normal. But my system is pair with 6 fans surrounding.

This my spec:
MotherBoard - MSI P67A - C45
Power Supply - Cooler Master Gx750W
Graphic Card - Asus Nvidia GeForce GTX580 DCU II
RAM - 8gb Apacer Ram (2 x 4GB)
Processor - i5 - 2320
4fan 12mm- 2 is led red
Casing - Corsair 200r - RM230
SSD - Plextor M5s 120gb - RM320 with window installed

Question now is ,
1.whether is my pc overheat or my broadband modem overheat?
2.Is it any software to test the temperature?
3. Should i add h80i as the cooler for this rig?

I think it is more related to the modem... ping lag means internet connection problem.. if graphic stutter or PC becomes slow then only considered PC overheat.

I think you can easily install some MSI software which help to monitor your PC temperature, in the software you can set the threshold temperature for CPU and the PC will beep if the temperature hit. The sames goes for the graphic card.

mind to tell what the software name?

Is it corsair h80i will be helpful for cooling generally?

Just not sure, I think my proc should be fine, the only thing I worry is gpu, cause the heat air the blow out from that side.
But it only happen whn I played game, otherwise is all fine, anyway, I thought dota2 shd be a easy handle game for gtx580. Who know :s

maximum for intel i5, I'm not too sure... 80 plus degree is quite normal.
But CPU nowadays very smart. Once you hit threshold temperature, they will throttle automatically and your CPU will not fried.
Not like last time, overclocking can easily cook the CPU

Wonder if TS solves his problems

had checked, the temperature of proc is around 60++ only, guess might be gpu or modem problem.

It is normal for graphic card to be very hot during gaming... that is why it has huge heat sink spanning through out the length of card. But do mind that although you feel hot when touching the heat sink, it does not necessary mean it overheat and cause your ping to be high.

I suggest that you take a stand fan, open the casing and directly blow on it during your next gaming session. See if the ping will lag again. If it still does, then the problem is not your graphic card

actually i have heat sink + another 2 14mm fan is blowing directly from the graphic card. and when i change my game setting to medium and the ping problem had solved.
but just the display not that nice now. i would consider to buy any cooler to make my video look nicer. haha.. any suggestion? ( no water coolant ) cause i dono how to install it.

Oh... in this case, you have find the root cause of your problem.
Just wondering, what is the model of your graphic card and what is the game you are playing.
Custom graphic card heat sink is not very common and usually cost a bomb, my suggestion is to save up for full upgrade loh...

I am using gtx580 with a huge heat sink, not sure why it heaty, the problem is , i used speedtest.net to test ping is 26 only, but in game -ping it shows 180-300 ( unstable all the time) , i just play dota2.

not sure wat the issue, i try alot solution already, no improvement, the only way is ON the air cond until the whole thing cold down.
