So elementalX is by far the best kernel? Or ROM?
*
ElementalX is a kernel, and I do believe it is definetely one of the quality kernels out there, along with franco's kernel
A guy from XDA tested on several kernels and posted his results here

Yesterday, i tried another nexus 7 32GB LTE (2nd test in senQ)
I updated (JLS36I Android 4.3.1) + restarted the device, still having the multitouch issue.

When I test it slowly, it rarely happen(detect 3 touches). But when I test it fast, it always happen(detected 3-4 touches).
Anyone having this problem same with me? You guys is Malaysia or US version?

*
I've used YAMTT to test for screen issues on my n7 lte, there's no problem.

Malaysia, bought it from Hotspot at lowyat. sweat.gif
so far scrolling havent been an issue, but when I typed to fast on stock keyboard, there are some unrecognized strokes registered. however i couldn't clarify whether it's due to the screen or the keyboard itself =)

I see most of the n7 owners here going for flip cases, why not consider sleeves/pouches instead thumbup.gif

i got one pouch, one flip(triangle flip), one tpu.. left this type oni. ^^ hahahaha! sleeve abit mafan wan use have to take out. now phone aso so new(bought last last fri) aso use naked d. hahaha!
*
I find it a little troublesome for flip cases,
most probably my sleeve is coming tomorrow.
my n7 has been running naked so far and i am not sure how much further i can protect if from bumps and scratches.
however, i dont plan on using screen protectors, you ?

After the iPad mini with Retina display has launched, so what is the verdict now?

Retina display offers a bigger resolution.
the new ipad mini with data is priced at 599.

if the problem is multitouch and gps, its considered as hardware problem right?
*
Not exactly. Hardware are relatively easy to check for problems because all you need is an multimeter to test for connection, as for software there are too many lines of codes, therefore its far more easier to have a problem(bug).

I own a n7 lte. And despite claims of defective units, mine is working well so far =)

hi all, is there anyway can change navigation bar location for bottom to right side during landscape mode? similar like Z ultra.
*
I think this feature is available for PAC and PA roms, you can easily switch between your UI with those roms. But you'll need root first =)

Hey guys.  Just a quick question.

What stuff do you use for with the nexus 7

I was thinking of getting the nexus 7 while already got nexus 10.  Want to try its form factor
*
Web browsing, light gaming, lecture notes via g.drive
prefered this form factor due to mobility =)

How to input handwriting for chinese word.
Cant find keyboard setting.
Does it need apps?
*
default good keyboard does not support chinese input.
You can look for Google Pinyin Input on the play store =)

+1 ... i was thinking of trying this form factor for mobility.

can you put your nexus 7 in your plants pocket?
*
Barely, unless you are wearing loose khakis.
But I wont advise you to do that since you may very well scratch the screen.

Not going to try other rom?
*
Elementals is a great kernel, but somehow has bootloop issues for me when flashed with other ROMs.
But still can be used on stock, temperature is great even during gaming.

Currently on carbon+Franco kernel, standby time and on screen time is not impressive at all.

ElementalX has never fail me with their close/wakeup display feature - have tested it on stock and 3 other roms too ( carbon, PA, and Clean )
*
Somehow the standby time i got for elementals on stock is mediocre. 4 to 5 % per night.
Perhaps will try a PAC + elementalx tonight if there's time

Guys, wanna find out bout my N7 2013

I'm running STOCK rom with bootloader unlocked and rooted, TWRP recovery installed.

When the OTA update is pushed out, will I be able to run and install it with the above configuration?

I have no issue installing OTA updates on my rooted GNex running on STOCK rom using CWM recovery.

Tks
*
As long as your device runs on stock build, you will be able to receive ota updates
