Ipad mini will fare better if you plan to upgrade (through trade in) later.

Built quality, i tested both, i prefer nexus7-2. No need physical home button (no risk repairing one), not as heavy as iPad mini but still have the premium feel, play store is rich enough though not as much as apple store (you won't noticed tongue.gif ). However it's easier to find far lots of cases with iPad mini.

Anyway, after over 9 months of owning it one, i noticed the upper left corner started creaking. Possibly caused by some drops and bumps.
